"So The Wiggenweld Potion is a healing potion with the power to sterilize and heal minor injuries and is the antidote to the sleeping drought and the drought of living death. Ingredients used-" Thea stopped mid-sentence as she watched James paying no attention.

The two friends were revising Potion since James was terrible at the theory, Thea offered help. The two were in the Marauder's dorm, James sitting on his bed while Thea paced around the dorm listing off the points.

The other Marauders were doing their things leaving the two alone in the dorm.

James was totally spaced out staring at the necklace Thea was wearing it reminded him of her and he thought it matched her perfectly.

Thea huffed in frustration as she clapped her hands to bring his attention, but failing to do so she snapped her fingers in front of his face but James won't budge.

His eyes were on the necklace which dangled from her neck lining up with the small amount of cleavage that was exposed by the shirt she was wearing. He gulped at the sight, ears reddening.

Thea sighed in defeat muttering curses under her breath. Upon spotting her pouch which consisted of muggle pens and pencil she threw it at his face making the boy snap from his daze.

James winced rubbing his cheek, moving his gaze from her chest to her face.

"What was that for?" he grumbled rubbing the sore spot on his face. "WhAt wAs ThAt FoR?" Thea mocked him shrugging her shoulders.

She narrowed her eyes at him "You weren't even paying attention, James. What's going inside your mind?" James faced burned red in embracement hesitating to say anything.

"Your necklace is quite distracting," he admitted....partly.

Thea snorted crossing her arms. "My necklace?! James, we have the Potion test on Monday and today is Saturday. As much as I love you Prongs you have to study otherwise you are not passing your O.W.L.S."

James mumbled an apology going back to reading and listening as Thea listed everything and recited the answers with her.

His eyes kept reaching the necklace that Thea wore, the small oval-shaped gold pendant with flowers engraved on each curve and a small carving of what looked like a raven. After the two were done with enough revision James finally asked it.

"Where did you get that from?" Thea looked down at the necklace that her mother had given her to wear since she was thirteen.

"My mother gave it to me, she says it was passed down to each girl in our family," she said playing with the necklace a small smile on her face.

"But...I have never seen it on you until today." Thea rolled her eyes at his words hitting the back of his head slightly. "That's because you don't observe Jamesie. Now let's go and get some fresh air otherwise these potion textbooks would make me go bloody mental."

The two friends found themselves walking down the hallways of Hogwarts going where their legs would take them. The two joke around teasing each other. It was the month of February something that Thea dreaded the most.

Upon seeing the great hall being decorated in all pink Thea scrunched up her nose trying not to gag. Upon noticing Thea's reaction James laughed, he knew well enough that the girl had a huge distaste for Valentine's Day.

Thea glared at the bespectacled boy nudging lightly in his gut. "Still disgusted by the month of Love short legs?" he asked a smug smile on his face remembering exactly why she didn't like the day.

James would write a very shitty, sappy poem each Valentine's Day.

The eight-year-old James had told the girl that they would too celebrate Valentine's. And each time he would write a hideous poem which wouldn't fail to make the girl cry. Tears not of happiness but of sadness.

He would write how ugly she looked and how blue wasn't her color. He would write about how her hair looked like a bird's nest. And while Thea smiled and laughed it off in front of him each night she would hold the card and cry her heart out.

When the two mothers came to know about it, they had given James a lecture. He was devasted to find that his words and a poem would have affected her so much. He felt terrible for his action and for three months James did his best to apologize to her.

After she forgave him James made a promise to always protect her no matter what. He would protect his best friend even if it meant he had to give his favorite chocolates and broom.

The hideous poem then became an inside joke between the two.

And each Valentine's day James would write a hideous poem to Thea stating the embarrassing things she had done that year. But he would always send a lovely poem to her signing anonymously.

It didn't affect Thea anymore, but little did James know she had treasured each poem he had given her.

"I literally hate you so much," Thea grumbled pouting pushing his hands away when he tried to hug her.

"Aww is Thea poo scared," he said in a baby voice making grabby hands. Thea flipped him off.

"I still think that blue isn't your color," James said winking her way. Thea's mouth was agape as she looked at the boy in disbelief.

She was currently wearing a blue T-shirt. "You little bitch." Thea muttered walking past him and smirking to let him know that she was okay.

"Nooooo don't go away from me short legs! I would die without you!" The boy dramatically said clutching his right side of the chest.

"My heart! Oh! My heart's palpitating awfully!" Thea rolled her eyes at the boy.

"Your heart is in the center tilted towards the left you bloody idiot!" Thea shouted shaking her head with a small smile.

James moved his hand acting as if he was going to die out of a heart attack. "My body is going numb! oh, my Godric! I can't feel me!"

"Oh, my Merlin! With whom have I fallen in love with?" Thea whispered to herself a grin on her face as she ran towards James and acted as if she was dying too.

'Maybe it will be okay if he doesn't like me back. I don't want to risk this friendship.' she thought to herself grinning at the boy who stuck his tongue out childishly.
