"Maybe we weren't meant to be in this universe."
"Then I will find through every universe, where we are meant to be. Don't lose hope now, Jamie"

"So when will you tell Lily?" James stopped in his tracks and looked at his best friend puzzled. "What do you mean?" Thea gives him an unamused look shaking her head, "We just declared our love for each other not even a minute ago and we also kissed. Right? Or am I hallucinating?"
James grinned like a foolish boy in love at her words, "Of course, we did love, if you want I can replay the moment for you a million times for you." he chuckled his eyes dazed with love and care. His smile however dropped when he saw the frown on her face. "But what about Lily James?"
"You don't have to worry about her love, this is about us now," he spoke moving towards her but stopping when she took a step back. "No this is wrong James. You can't-- this is wrong." James frowned and shook his head.
"It's not wrong if it's about us Thea, we love each other. I don't care about Lily, I mean I do she is a good friend of ours and a good person. But romantically I am- I am done with her. You don't have to worry about her Thea," His words sounded like honey to Thea, but her heart wasn't convinced a boy who was blindingly in love with a girl for a good five years of his life suddenly say he was not while being in a relationship with the said woman. It felt wrong to her, all evil.
"No James its not that, you are in relationship with her for merliens sake! this wo-" She was cut off by a startled response from the bispectabled boy in front of her.
"Woah Woah relationship? Don't you know Thea? I broke up with Lily. Today morning, well it was more mutual. She understood that it was never meant to be and well rest is history." As if someone had injected Thea with dopamine, relief filled her but a concern lingered in her head for both of her friends.
As if noticing her concern James replied. "She is okay Thea, really. No hard feelings in this breakup at all." Thea smiled at the boy in front of her. "Thank you for doing the right thing." she paused and then punched the taller boy playfully.
"You idiot should have told me about this sooner I was stressed about doing something wrong and making you do something wrong!" Thea exclaimed.
James laughed pulling her closer to him, his arm never leaving her shoulder as the two walked to their next class potion. "Make me do something wrong! That's ridiculous you are like an angel no you are an angel, my love. If anything I put a bad influence on you."
Thea agreed with him her hand finding his, which was draped around her shoulder. "But I still think we should take it slow James. Maybe start a relationship a little bit later. I mean I love you a lot, and you just got out of a relationship I don't want you to jump from one relationship to another. It wont be good for you or me."
When his gaze met hers, James gulped down the words of protest. Why would his best friend, the love of his life want something bad for him and so he agreed for her and for himself.
"Okay, I promise to wait for you, even if it takes forty years or eighty. I will always wait for you." Thea smiled lovingly at the boy beside her, the two walked together to their class sharing loving smiles each time they bumped into each other blush coating their cheeks as they blamed it on the winter wind.
For once the growing storm of love brewing inside Thea's heart calmed as she watched the boy who owned her heart, stopping the storm naturally like a mundane task. James's heart was beating with anticipation, waiting for the time he would get to hold her, call her his, and love her every day without a care in the world.
His heart jumped every time her name was called. His mind went off to a lovers' walk as she entered his thoughts, and his eyes told the stories of the mighty lovers as soon as she walked in his sight.
Time flew quicker that day, as the pair sat quietly next to each other while their friends surrounded them laughing and joking around. Under the table James's hand never left hers, hands molded as if joined with glue.
He would squeeze her hand everytime he would talk with someone, as if to reassure himself that she was still right next to him. He would fill her plate first, filling it with her favorite food, giving her brownies from his plate like he always use to.
But now everything felt too intimate, too lovely. For Thea James's love was like the food of gods, if this is what a pinch of his love tasted like she couldn't wait for more.
James didn't miss the way Thea's gaze lingered on him, even after catching her staring, her eyes didn't move away like they used to. Her hand came to rescue each time his glasses would slide down his face, he didn't miss the way she saved his favorite cookies in her pocket definitely saving it for later.
Her hand patted his face as he rested it on her shoulder, to him this was new. Sure he had slept a million times in her lap, she had held him hundreds of times as he cried. But to cradle his face, play with his hair as his head rested on her shoulder and their friend around laughed. It felt magical.
"Are you seeing that, Albus?" Mcgonagall said, a smile growing on her face in triumph. I am Minerva. Love is blooming Hogwarts. How can I not notice?" Dumbledore said, his eyes twinkling with joy. The two shared a smile, and their gaze drifted back to the pair as they laughed along with their friends.
Love was growing, and so was hatred.
A storm was building outside ready to destroy the future of those who sat in the halls of Hogwarts. But for now, love empowered the evil and the laughter became the antidote.
