"Another year at Hogwarts with new young minds let them feel welcome. And remember the times may be dark but you will walk on the right path if you remember to keep your lights safe and close to you. Let the feast begin."
Thea clapped slowly digesting the speech that Dumbledore gave.
Each year the old man gave speeches that sent shivers down her spine but still managed to give some value.
Throughout the whole dinner, the marauders tried to keep James happy and jolly making weird faces and jokes while this was happening Thea however was staring at James and Lily back and forth trying to understand how she could make the two of her friends happy.
"Would you stop? You are being too obvious." Cameron whispered to Thea who only rolled her eyes and flipped him as a response.
"Shut up Cam Cam boy don't make me regret my decision of not hexing you."
Cameron gulped remembering how scary Thea was when he had broken the spine of her book while she was on her period.
"No need to be a dickhead." he grumbled nudging her, Thea snorted nudging him back, "No need to be a twat."

Later that night Thea found herself trying to keep her mouth shut when Lily came inside the dorm with a laugh. Alice anxiously glanced at Thea giving her a warning gaze which Thea ignored.
"Well well if it isn't the famous Lily Evans," Thea spoke lowly moving towards Lily who was removing her sweater. "Hello to you too Thea," Lily muttered giving Thea a tired uneasy smile.
"Oh don't hello me Evans." she folded her arms glaring at the redhead in front of her. "What's your problem with me?" Lily sighed giving her full attention to her friend.
"You Lily You!" Thea exclaimed breathing heavily as she tried to contain her anger. "Look both you and James are my friends and I really want both of you to be happy Lily I really do. But please try to hang out with us for James' sake. He is really stressed please Lily." Thea rambled giving her friend a hesitant smile.
Lily stared at Thea for a few seconds not saying anything. "Look my relationship is none of your business even though we are friends. But you are right and I respect that you care so much about James. I will talk to James about it."
Thea smiled greatfully at the redhead hugging her tight.
"Thank you Lils. Now go your prince charming is waiting for you!" Thea said her voice breaking a bit as she tried not to cry. It hurt her to make things right for James and Lily but she only wanted to see him happy. And if Lily made James happy then she was ready for it.
"Where is Marlene?" Alice asked after a few minutes of silence. Thea snapped from the daze wiping her tears away.
"Oh, she is off shoving her tongue down Dorcas Meadowe's throat," Thea said smirking when Alice gasped.
"They finally got together?!" Thea nodded and Alice shrikes happily. "Ahhh I am going to kill Marlene for not telling me sooner," Alice said.
Their laughter grew short and the unwelcoming silence embraced them. Alice spoke carefully choosing her words wisely as she sat beside Thea on her bed.
"You like James don't you?" Alice asked as she played with the hem of her sweater.
"What?! No! That's ridiculous he is my best friend." Thea exclaimed lying to Alice her hands started to sweat.
"Of course, you don't like James," Alice muttered her eyebrows furrowed.
"Yea, I don't." Thea agreed, rubbing her neck anxiously.
"You don't like James because you love James." Alice's words hit Thea harder than the killing curse.
The silence was her answer and Alice chuckled knowing her suspicions were correct. "I knew it. He doesn't know that does he?" Thea shook her head slowly accepting the truth because there was no running away from Alice this time.
"Of course he doesn't he is a bloody oblivious arrogant twat to not see you," Alice exclaimed Thea giggled at her choice of words never she had heard Alice curse.
"He is too blind literally," Thea said the two fell into sweet laughter enjoying their night gossiping and playing games when her other dorm mates returned.
"Lily is out like a light," Marlene whispered touching Lily's forehead as if she was some kind of deadly disease.
"Probably because of her and James's make-out session." Marlene proceeds to giggle the fire whiskey still in her system.
Alice worriedly looked towards Thea who had not let the comment affect her and was giggling with Marlene. "Damn right they were all so gross during the whole summer I am sure they did it," Thea whispered and again went into a giggling fit with the blond.
"Oh my god, it was so horrible to see that the two had slept together. It pained my heart." Thea spoke quickly realizing what she had said she covered it up
"That lily the perfect goody too shoes was the first one to get laid from all of us." she quickly said hoping Marlene had not noticed.
Marlene laughed loudly "That is so not true Thea! our girl here." Marlene went towards Alice wrapping her arms around her. "Got laid the quickest. She did it with Frank at the Halloween party." Thea gasped and Alice's face turned red.
"And no one told me?! I am truly hurt, Alice." Thea faked a put she was still drunk but she didn't care at the moment.
"It was a drunken mistake okay!" Alice examined hiding her face in her hands.
"A mistake after which you guys start to date again?" Marlene asked raising her eyebrows. Alice pushed the blonde off her bed.
Alice and Frank the sweetest couple of Gryffindor had broken up during their 5th year of Hogwarts after the two found it quite difficult to focus on their studies. But all of it changed after that Halloween party and the two realised they were better together.
"Wait Alice and Frank boinked each other at the Halloween party?!" Lily sleepily said rubbing her eyes to see the scene in front of her.
After seeing her three drunk friends she decided that she was in fact correct.
The four drunk friends spent their night together drinking and playing truth or dare which ended really badly.
No one had ever expected to find Lily, Alice, Marlene, and Thea half naked singing the songs of Queen loudly at 3 a.m. in the Gryffindor common room.
Needless to say, McGonagall was very disappointed and the marauders were cheering the girls up as they dirty danced in the common room.
