"No, I don't have the balls to do it, Cam Cam." Thea cried her head on her best friend's shoulder watching as Regulus tried to focus on her rather than his boyfriend. "You know it as well Thea. James has changed drastically in the span of the few months he has been with Lily." Regulus who seemed to have snapped from his trace agreed with him.

"I mean I have never seen that boy study like ever let alone study before the term even starts. He never participates or initiates pranks and neither does he spend time with us. He has changed so drastically I can barely recognise him." Cameron voiced his concerns to his best friend.

"I know Cammy. And I hate it is torture to live every day seeing the two of them together. It breaks my heart more and more and I can't even do anything about it." Thea sniffled, finishing her second glass of butterbeer and her fourth shot of fire whiskey.

"Who breaks your heart?" A very familiar envious voice made her freeze. Cameron and Regulus looked eye wide at the people behind her. Like a deer caught in headlights, she slowly kept her glass on the table and turned around to face the person who she would rather not look at.

"James." she hiccuped looking at him eye wide, he was standing with his arms crossed and his jaw clenching, with Sirius and Remus staring at Regulus and Cameron as if figuring out a mystery.

Upon seeing Thea's drunken state and bloodshot teary eyes, ruined mascara, runny nose and tears spilling down her face as if raindrops James' whole demeanour changed from jealous to angry and careful, he rushed towards her, bending down.

"What happened Thea?" he asked angry at the fact that someone was making his best friend utterly sad and that one of his most trusted mate let her get so drunk. "You, Jamie. You." she slurred out drunkly pointing her finger at him.

If anything James knew she hated drinking and it made no sense to him why she was drunk and pointing at him. Sirius and Remus were standing beside the pair sharing concerned glances with Cameron and Regulus who looked panicked.

"You waltz no wait you literally crawled into my life Jamie like some sort of damn sunshine so unbearable to my eyes almost blinding me. You James Potter made me fall for you so damn hard that my love for you is now breaking me piece by piece." Thea laughed removing her hands away from his hold, the music in the pub making her head pain.

James froze his mouth agape watching the drunk with emotions strong enough to make him forget about everything. "I fucking love you and I always have. You make me want to scream so bad Jamie. But you never loved me did you?" she questions holding his face in her hands and looking into his eyes.

"Damn your eyes, don't look at me like that James. It will break me, please tell me you love please." She begged him tears slipping down her shirt into her mouth. Everything felt salty, like that one time when she almost kissed him underwater in Itlay's ocean.

"Please tell me you love me and not her. Can't you see? She is changing you so much I barely recognise you, Jamie. "  Her voice cracking and her heart begging for an I love you too.

James took a shaky breath holding her cold hands in his warm ones. "You are drunk Thea let's get you home," he whispered his heart breaking with her confession. "No no don't you see James you blind twat! you are my home! you are my everything. Everywhere I go, everything I do, I only see you." her speech was slurred but her intentions were clear.

"I LOVE YOU JAMES FLAMOUNT POTTER and I have loved you ever since I have known you. And somehow you make me the happiest and yet so sad." She screams over the loud pub music, her eyes filling with love, care, hope and relief.

"Let's go, Thea," James said his eyes pooling with tears. The more he heard her broken heart confession, the more everything made sense to him and the more he thought about it the more it hurt him knowing how much he had hurt her.

He took her wrist and tried to drag her with him. "No.No.No. Tell me right now James don't you love me as well?" she asked her voice breaking when no reply came from him and his eyes diverted to the ground Thea's world broke.

"I knew it." she hiccapued pulling her wrist away from his hold. "I hate you, Cameron, for ever making me believe he could love me back. The same goes for all of you and especially you James Potter." she points to every one of her friends.

Thea walked past them out of the pub, her cries turning into sobs she kept walking. As the boys recovered from the shock, Cameron quickly decided to follow her. "Let me go Cameron please." Cameron laughed at James.

"You have done enough damage James more than you can imagine or feel." he sneered looking at him with much anger and disgust. "The last thing she wants is to see your face."

"No Cameron this is between me and her. If I have broken her heart a hundred times let me fix it for once." James' voice broke and he rushed out of the pub calling out her name like a lover's cry.

He was quick to catch up with her. "Thea, love please stop. Please listen to me." he cried out catching her wrist in time and stopping her. "How much more do you want to break me James?" she whispered looking at him with a broken heart.

"I will explain everything tomorrow I promise Thea but right you are drunk my love." Thea laughed at him and shook her head. "Then I will probably won't remember anything tomorrow. If you don't love me; say it right to my face and if you love me please let me hear one last time," she begs him.

James gazes at her broken face as a tear slips from his eyes. "God Thea I- I don't know. I can't figure it out. Of course I love you, who cannot love you?" Hope rises in her chest as she searches for any sign of a lie in his answer but she finds none.

"Give me a few days to figure out Thea please I beg you." he pleads and much to his relief she nods. "Okay. But please don't lie to yourself, James. If you love me you love if you don't it's alright don't try to convince yourself otherwise."

"I won't. I promise." he makes a cross across his heart like they always did when they were younger. Thea laughed at his actions. "Now let's get you home without Minnie seeing you and sending an owl to your parents," he says relief flooding his body but love surging through his veins.

"Only if you give me a piggyback I am way too drunk to walk. I wouldn't have walked all the way here but I wanted to make everything a bit dramatic and then cry about it later." Thea admitted. James laughed at her and scooted down smiling when her arms encircled his neck easily lifting her.
