It was finally Friday morning. Taylor had informed me and Lillian that he would drive us to his friends party through text yesterday. Apparently they had exchanged numbers around the time I was crying my eyeballs out in my bathroom.

Last night, Lillian slept downstairs on the couch because I refused to have her sleep in my bed. Who knows what she would've done to me while I was sleeping. She could've braided my hair or worse...drew on my face. I shuddered at the thought as I took a bite of my cereal. Lillian was still knocked out on the couch but I wasn't surprised. She always slept late.

Well, most people wouldn't be awake at 6 a.m during summer break but waking up early has always been a habit of mine. Mom would be home in an hour and Lillian was still asleep. Taking another bite of cereal, I got up and looked at the calendar hanging on our fridge. No upcoming appointments. Thank the heavens. I was about to find a pen when I heard my phone buzz on the table. A message! I ran to my phone and picked it up.

Chad:

Hey beautiful! Wanna hang out today?

I frowned, re-reading the word beautiful. Ill admit, I was pretty disappointed to see it was Chad that had written me instead of Taylor. I was about to reply with a sure before realizing that I actually had plans, for the first time ever. Okay, I've had plans before but its very rare.

Well, Taylor invited me and my cousin to one of his friends parties today. Wanna come?

I knew it was stupid to ask him but I felt sorry that I wasn't able to say yes. Putting my phone down, I decided to finish my cereal and put my bowl in the sink. Outside the sun was just barely coming out.

My phone buzzed again and after I was done washing my bowl, I read the message from Chad.

Chad: Sounds fun. Where's it at?

He's taking us there so I'm not quite sure..

Chad: Oh.

He didn't write anymore than that. Frowning, I stared at my screen waiting for him to message more. Out of nowhere I sneezed. Damn allergies and sickness. Eventually, after minutes of standing, he wrote.

Chad: Ask him

I sighed and went to text Taylor.

Hey Taylor, what's the address to the house the party is gonna be at?

Taylor: Holy shit you're up early

Rolling my eyes, I quickly wrote back.

It's only 6!

Taylor: only? you're crazy

My jaw dropped and I wrote, again.

I am not crazy! Now, the address?

Taylor: You're also persistent. Why does it matter? Im driving you guys there

He was being really stubborn.

Just tell me, a friend wants to know.

Taylor: who?

I let out a frustrated sigh causing my eyebrows to furrow.

Someone I know. They want to come

Taylor: Do I know this person?

Yeah

Taylor: why don't they just ask me?

That'd be a bad idea

Taylor: you're confusing me, text by text
