When I finally opened my eyes, Chad was gone. I was completely soaked by the time I jumped into my car. Instead of crying like I thought I would, I was actually smiling. Taylor could now be mine. Chad had threatened me, saying I had made a big mistake. But I wasn't worried at all. Chad was too nice to do something to me.
I reached for my phone and dialed Taylor's number. He didn't pick up. Bad signal, I thought. With nothing left to do, I backed out of the park and headed home. I was thankful the park was only a couple of blocks from my house because the rain was still pouring down. Pulling into my driveway, I cut my car off.
After getting out my car and running inside, I dried myself off and put new clothes on in my bedroom. I decided to go did stairs to see what Lillian may have been doing. She was sprawled all over the couch and watching tv. She had tons of snacks all around her.
"Lillian! Those are my spicy nacho chips!" I practically yelled at her, yanking the bag out of her reach. I hugged them right to my chest, my eyes bulging out of my head. This girl was really out of her mind!
"Chill, Hayley. They're just chips." She rolled her eyes and began chewing on some brownies.
"Just chips?" I spat, still gripping my favorite snack.
"Yes, just chips." She said slowly, nodding at me as if I was stupid.
I turned around not bothering to argue with her any further. That girl really knew how to push my buttons. I walked into the kitchen and began to put away the chips into the cabinet.
"Taylor has been texting me all day." She yelled, happily.
I rolled my eyes but a part of my brain replayed the image of them two kissing in the hallway. It hurt knowing that they had kissed but I knew he didn't really like her. At least, I was pretty positive he didn't. He said he had wanted me. That's exactly what he was going to get.

James POV:
(1 hour before)
After shutting Hayley's car door, I slowly made my way up to Ana's door. I was extremely nervous which was unusual for me. Why wasn't she answering my texts or calls? Had I done something wrong. My mind was racing. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath before knocking on the door. I could still hear Hayley's car running as Taylor appeared in front of me.
"Hey man." Taylor smiled at me, tired smile.
"Hey, is Ana here?" I gulped after asking, trying not to avert my gaze.
Taylor glanced back into the house before turning to face me again. Immediately I could tell he was hiding something. His face told on him. "Uh, you can check." He smiled and walked past me.
I stood there for a moment then walked inside, shutting the door behind me. The tv in the living room was on and I could hear voices in the kitchen. Her parents. I walked through the living room and finally saw them in the kitchen.
"James! Darling!" Missy came towards me with her arms open.
I smiled and wrapped my arms around her. Missy was the sweetest person ever; Ana reassembled her so much. She pulled away, smiling, and turned back to focus on cooking. Harold, Ana's dad, gave me a pat on the back and we said our hellos. After we all talked some about how we were, I finally asked where Ana was.
"Oh," Missy frowned, trying to remember, "I believe she said something about going to a party?"
I tried my best to hide the suspicion in my eyes. "Oh okay. Thank you. Do you remember if she told you where it was?" I questioned.
