𝐑𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐍 𝐈 thought JJ and I could relax at my house after the eventful day, the Routledge boy had picked us up for the next trip that night.

It took a lot for me to bring myself out of the blonde's arms but John B promised me a blunt.

JJ and I sat in the back of the Twinkie, puffing on his vape. "You mind if I just relax on this one?" He asked the group. "It's been a long day, and a lot of weird stuff has gone down. I'm just gonna lay low."

I looked at Pope. "Did you want a hit of this?" I teased, referring to the vape.

"Keep the signal clear." He replied, holding his hand up.

JJ rambled, as I leaned closer to him. "Dude, okay. Do you understand that your problem is that you don't get creative? If you got creative then-"

"Look, I know I was wrong about the lighthouse." John B cut in. "And wrong about everything else going on. But I was right about one thing. My dad is trying to tell me something. Come on, Hayley. You have to agree with me."

I opened my mouth to speak but no words came out. I didn't know what I could say to make him feel better.

I was snapped out of my thoughts as everyone started piling out of the van and into the cemetery.

"This place is scary," Kiara commented.

"John B what are we doing here?" I asked, looking around the dark cemetery. I held onto JJ's hand, in seek of comfort.

"So you know how you're trying to remember a song and you can't remember who sings it?" He tried to explain. "So, Redfield. This whole time, I thought it was a place, right? But it's not a place." The boy stopped in his tracks, holding his light up to read the name on the tombstone. "It's a person."

"Voi-effing-la." JJ chuckled.

"Fascinating," I mumbled sarcastically, under my breath.

"See, my great-great-grandmother Olivia Redfield. Redfield was her maiden name." He looked up at it in awe. "Help me with the door."

The Maybank boy moved away from me as him as Pope helped John B with sliding the door open but it didn't work. They all groaned in pain, even though it hadn't moved an inch.

I rolled my eyes, "Guys, it's not-"

I was cut off when a snake suddenly appeared out of the small hole before slithering away. Everyone jumped back in fright, except JJ, who began barking at it.

"JJ, shut the fuck up!" I whisper-yelled.

"They're afraid of dogs, everyone knows that." He told us before he continued barking.

I tuned out the conversation, shining my flashlight at the hole the snake came out of. "I can get through," I told them.

JJ being JJ immediately denied letting me go, "Absolutely not."

I sighed heavily, "Look, John B this is about your dad. And I really don't believe in it but, you deserve to know the truth. I'll do it." I turned to see the blonde's panicked expression, "I'll be fine, J."

Pope moved the twigs out of the way for me as JJ squatted with his hands together for me to step onto. "You sure you just don't want an excuse to touch my ass, Maybank?" I teased, throwing a wink his way. I climbed into the small hole, "Flashlight?" I asked since I could hardly see a thing.

"You alive?" John B asked concerned.

"No, I'm fucking dead," I replied, looking around the place for anything that looked like what we were looking for.

After a few minutes of silence, I found a FedEx package with the words 'Dear, Bird' written on the front. That is what Big John used to call John B. "Oh, my god."

I passed the package to John B as JJ helped me out of the hole. "That not gold." Pope sighed in disappointment.

"Holy shit!"

"Code red! Code red! Square groupers! Square groupers!" JJ chanted, as we all ran to the other side to hide, turning off our flashlights in the process.

"Do you think it's them?" Kie asked, her voice breaking slightly.

"Homies got a gun," JJ whispered.

After hearing that, I grabbed JJ's hand and started to sprint my way to the gate, the others following after us. Of course, we all made it to the other side, except for Pope, who had got his shorts stuck. I couldn't help but laugh at the sight as Kie had to help him down, ripping his shorts in the process.

"Come on, Pope, it's a little tootsie roll." I giggled.
