𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐀𝐔 𝐖𝐀𝐒 gone. There was a fire and no one knew what happened, "It could have been a faulty electrical wire." Pope suggested.

"Place was all wood." Kie spoke up, "A tinderbox."

Riley looked over to the Routledge boy, "Whoever's up there does not like you, John B."

"Sarah, when did you say the pilot was getting in?" I asked the girl.

She shrugged, "Probably like an hour. I mean, once he's here my dad said we can leave whenever we want."

"Okay, well, as much as I would love to ghost my parents again, I can't." The Heyward boy told us.

"Pope, we're talking El Dorado here." John B said.

Milo shrugged, "Can't you slip out the back or something?"

"It always worked for me." The blonde boy spoke.

Pope shook his head, "No. I'll be there. I'll meet you at the airstrip in an hour."

John B nodded as the boy took off down the dock with Cleo on his trail.

"I guess I'll go pack some stuff and break the news to my parents." The curly-haired girl said, "I'll see you there."

"Hales, you wanna go grab some stuff?" Riley asked.

I nodded, "Yeah, you coming, J?"

He turned around to face me, "Where?"

"My place. Just to get some clothes. There's some of your stuff over there too." I told him.

He sent me a small nod as he followed us down the dock, "Are you okay?" I asked, he seemed a bit off.

"Yeah, pretty girl. I'm okay." He smiled.
