𝐈 𝐒𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐌𝐘 eyes as they adjusted to the sunlight. I was lying across the couch with JJ due to the long night we'd had, "Did you guys see Kelce's face?" John B giggled as they continued speaking about the fight.

"Well, hello, princess." JJ suddenly said in a sarcastic tone as I heard the porch door open. The Cameron girl walked through the door with Olivia with a drained expression written across her face.

"What's up?" The curly-haired girl smiled at her friend.

John B grimaced, "Shouldn't you be on Figure Eight with your little group of polo players?" He said sarcastically, "Or did you break up with Topper?"

"We're just friends." She shot back.

"He's just a friend." The boy rolled his eyes, "You have a lot of friends, Sarah Cameron."

The blonde girl rolled her eyes, "Yeah, and it seems like you've got some of your own too."

"Alright, what are you doing here?" He asked, getting tired of the back and forth.

Sarah sighed, "I'm here for Pope. I think I've found the island room."

Everyone shot up from their seats at the news, "What? Where?"

"At Tannyhill." She revealed, "So, we should probably leave, like now."

The group scrambled into the van as I lifted myself from my comfortable place on the couch.

"Guys, listen to this." Pope spoke up, "The diary says that the cross holds the most holy relic in all of Christendom, the Garmet of the Saviour."

"So wait, he's saying that there's a holy garment inside the cross?" Kiara questioned.

I leaned over the Heyward boy's shoulder so I could look too, "Yeah, it says the garment is capable of healing the sick from any malady." Pope nodded.

I scoffed as I read the diary, "If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well."

"Well, that explains why Limbrey would want the cross so bad," He spoke, "She thinks it can heal her."

"What else does it say?" The oldest girl asked.

"Many feel that we have sinned to steal such a sacred thing, and God will strike His vengeance on us." The Heyward boy read.

Kie nodded, "The thing is, God did have His vengeance."

"He sent a hurricane to sink the ship. Only Denmark survived." He realised.

"Shit," I muttered under my breath.

𝐌𝐘 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐁𝐄𝐀𝐓 𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐂𝐊𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐃 as we entered Tannyhill. A shiver ran down my spine at the large building, "This place still creeps me out." John B spoke up as I nodded in agreement.
