Who is Addison Barnes? Meet the wife of Mafia legend James Barnes and her story to the rise of fame.

Addison stared at the screen of her laptop, for hours she had watched her life be plastered online, every gruesome detail of her father's murder, how she was trapped in a biker gang, and how she managed to get the prince of New York at the time to fall in love with her. She had suddenly been forced out of the shadows, and everyone knew everything about her. And with no information on who was sending these anonymous threats, each article that came out was just giving them more ammunition. Footsteps sounded behind her as she sat at the kitchen counter, smiling when she felt Bucky's lips on the top of her head.

"I'm going to get it taken down my love," Bucky murmured as he twisted the stool around so she would face him, "I'm going through employees right now, trying to find the weak link."

Addison nodded, leaning forward so her head rested on his chest and her arms wrapped around his midsection. Bucky didn't hesitate to wrap his arms around her head, hiding her in his body while he watched the screen of her laptop. "They have details of your dad's murder?"

A choked sob left Addison's lips, "yeah."

She had pushed that memory so far away, she didn't want to relive it. Her father dropped to the floor while she hid under her the bed in that motel room was burned into her brain, she could still smell the blood and gunpowder. At six years old, she lost the only person who consistently put her first, and now every detail of that night was plastered for the world to see. She pulled her head back when realization dawned on her, "his murder isn't public knowledge," a deep breath left her lips as she turned around, "the Sons of Lucifer ban reporting incidents to the police because they don't have legal fronts to cover their illegal operations, and only a handful of people know what happened in that much detail."

Addison, Charles, and Emmett.

"My love, I need you to tell me everything that's going on in your brain right now," Bucky cupped Addison's cheeks, tilting her head back to meet his gaze, "I have to have a lead to go off."

"Charles and Emmett," both men they swore up and down were dead, "I don't know if they told anyone else in the Sons but Charles murdered my dad, and Emmett knew because I told him everything."

Addison and Bucky both looked to the doorway when Sam and Rebecca entered, panic was evident on Rebecca's face as she rushed over to Addison, gripping her hands. "Someone was in my house," Rebecca whispered, tears forming in her eyes, Addison knew later that Rebecca would blame it on her pregnancy hormones, but Addison recognized the look of fear better than anyone else. "They ransacked the nursery," tears finally broke past the lower lash line as realization hit the woman, "it's completely gone, and there was another message left on the wall." Addison reached up to wipe the tears from Rebecca's cheek as she spoke.

"Send a team to the building," Addison stated, turning slightly to look at her husband, "Charles and Emmett knew about my father, but they could care less about Rebecca, they'd focus on me. If it's them, they're not working alone."

Bucky was typing on his phone, an arm still wrapping around Addison's shoulders as Rebecca squeezed her hands sobbing. Everything was starting to get overwhelming, Addison was in the center of the storm and while they say the eye of the hurricane is the calmest, she felt like every turn she took there was a tsunami crashing down on her. "I need air," Addison whispered, looking up at Bucky, her chest was rising and falling rapidly, and her mind was racing, "put Hayden and Nicolas at the door but I just need a minute to think."

"Okay," Bucky leaned down, pressing his lips to hers briefly, "I'll be up in the office, come up when you're ready."

Addison nodded, squeezing Rebecca's hands once more before getting off the stool and stepping towards the backyard. Clouds were rolling as she shut the backdoor, the cold air biting into her skin and sobering her up from her emotions. In the distance, the snow had started falling, dark gray clouds covering the sky over the grove of trees in the backyard. Wind rustling the leaves made Addison take a deep breath because she was in a place she was safe, the gates of the Barnes Manor made her believe that she was untouchable there.
