warnings: gun violence and smut

☆゜·。。·゜゜·。。·゜★

By the time Bucky and Steve arrived in the basement, Tristan was barely conscious, blood soaked his clothes and bruises covered his skin.

"Looks like you two were busy," Bucky smirked as he pulled off his coat, moving to roll up his sleeves, the wedding band cool against his heated skin, "did he say anything?" Bucky was careful to step around the various pools of blood on the ground, going up to the chair Tristan was tied to and pulling his head back, hazel eyes were dim with the dwindling embers of anger simmering away. Dried blood was being covered with fresh, smeared across his teeth, Tristan was accepting his fate, Bucky could see that. He knew what happens to men when they cross the mafia king, but he did it anyway, and he wasn't going to fight it. So maybe there was some loyalty still embedded in him somewhere.

"Rebecca isn't a target," Sam was wiping his knuckles with a cloth, "she's just being used to make Addison vulnerable."

"Is that so?" Bucky let venom drip into his voice, running his family ring across Tristan's cheek, the man's blood falling into the design, before bringing his fist back and punching Tristan so hard his head nearly slammed into the wall behind him. "Is it worth it? Going after my sister knowing she's pregnant?"

"No," Tristan garbled, blood pouring out of his mouth when he leaned it forward, red rolling off Bucky's leather loafers, "I didn't want her involved at all. I lost my sister, I know how painful it is."

"As for Addison," Warner cut in, his own cloth being drug along his knuckles to wipe away the remaining blood, "she's wanted by a gang out in Oregon supposedly, another Sons of Lucifer chapter, although they don't know why, they're offering a heady five million dollars for her arrival, they want her alive," Warner grabbed a gun off the table when he saw the anger flash in Bucky's eyes, "we've already alerted the tracing team to find the gang, they're working on it as we speak," with minimum distance between Bucky and Warner, the dark gray gun filled the space, waiting for Bucky's final decision. "We weren't sure what you wanted to do with him."

Bucky's hand clamped down on the gun, pushing the safety down and pointing it at Tristan who just groaned. Bucky didn't even look at the man as the bullet left the chamber, embedding into Tristan. He could feel the blood hit him, the red staining his white shirt. He wouldn't have gone to that extreme had Tristan been honest with him in the first place, but the man decided to see how far he could push, where he could find an angle to work Bucky over, for what, that remained unknown. But the man put his wife in danger, and for Bucky, that was a death sentence.

"Steve, Warner, you're on clean-up duty, try not to bring him through the Lobby, I just got the floor polished," Bucky tossed the gun on the table in the room, grabbing his coat, slinging it over his shoulders before turning to look at Sam, "you're with me, we're going to pick up the dresses mama ordered for Addison and Rebecca for this art gala then we're going up to the lake house to pick them up," Bucky twisted his wrist so his golden Rolex faced him, the time was nearing three in the afternoon, "we're on crunch time, we have to be back by seven, let's go."

With the basement door clicking shut behind him, Bucky climbed the stairs to the parking garage, pulling the key to his Ferrari out of his pocket, he gestured to the passenger seat for Sam.

The two rarely spent time together alone, Steve or Warner were always the buffer for them. They had two very different personalities, Sam looked for the light in the dark world they resided in, while Bucky lived in the depths of it, where there was no sunshine to reach for. But the one thing that Bucky and Sam did share, was their love for their spouses. They would go to the ends of the earth if one of them was hurt, and the other would follow. When Addison came into their lives, Bucky fully expected for Sam to blame her when Rebecca suddenly became a target, but Sam never did, he protected Addison just like he would protect Rebecca. And because of that, Bucky would put up with him, not just for his sister, but for the loyalty he showed Addison.
