Addison groaned when Cassie's bodyguard slammed into her again.

It was getting nearly impossible to teach Cassie any self-defense moves because if she got too close to the girl, her enforcer would be slamming her into a wall. Hayden rushed over, kneeling down to help Addison up while she held her ribs, "I think we're gonna call it for today Cassie," she knew her ribs were about to be an ugly yellow color from the force of the hits the girl's bodyguard were delivering, "I don't have the strength to be body checked by your guy every two seconds, I'm still recovering myself."

Cassie nodded, looking down sadly, they hadn't gotten to do any sort of training. "I'm sorry about him, I'm going to talk to Dad because I'm not sure how I'm supposed to learn anything if they don't let you within ten inches of me."

"He's just doing his job," Addison hissed when Hayden's hand pressed into her bruised ribs, her forehead landing on his clavicle, "we'll reconvene in a week or so, once I can breathe without pain," Addison joked, seeing Cassie smile softly, "have a good week at school."

Nicolas pushed open the door for Addison and Hayden, both of her enforcers chuckling as she held her ribs, "was kidnapped, can take down full grown men, yet took body slams from an enforcer fifteen times in two hours," Nicolas poked Addison's cheek when she rolled her eyes, pushing away from Hayden to go to the elevator, "c'mon now, you're stronger than that, Hayden and I have never seen you take so many hits from the same person. You make James Barnes tremble, why didn't you put the asshole in his place?"

Addison pressed on the elevator button, pulling her key card from her leggings, "If that asshole reports back to his boss that I put him in a headlock, who do you think is going to suffer the consequences of the actions? Him? Me? James? Or New York as a whole?"

The answer was New York.

"Okay, so maybe you have a point," Hayden shrugged, leading her into the elevator, "but is it worth the possibility of broken bones?"

"You win some you lose some," Addison shrugged leaning against the cool metal wall, her eyes closing when her heated skin finally became a reasonable temperature, "any update on the guy from the club and his information?"

"It seems legit," Nicolas pulled out his phone, handing it to his boss. Normally Addison would've kept them as only bodyguards, but she wasn't ready to bring Bucky or Warner into the plan yet. She knew she had to be hands-on, the man would never talk to direct descendants of Novikov, not that she blamed him, but if she was going to get him to go back to Russia it was going to have to be with her leading the battalion. Which Bucky was always hesitant to let her do. "The cameras saw him leave Alabama and as of nine hours ago he was in Biloxi, Mississippi."

Addison turned to look at Nicolas, "he's staying in the south, that means he has problems up here."

"Or he's scared of Novikov's men," the elevator door opened into the small hallway that lead them to Addison and Bucky's apartment, "your kidnapping made national news, it wasn't locked to just New York."

Handing the phone back to Nicolas, she waited at the front door while they did their initial sweep of the house, nodding to her when it was clear. The door locked behind her and she dropped all her items into the bowl in the kitchen, starting to unbraid her hair. "I'm going to shower, someone get Steve up here, he's coming with me."

"Coming with you?" Both Nicolas and Hayden questioned.

"I'll explain later, just get Steve here."

Fifteen minutes later Addison walked back into the living room, a pair of jeans and a hoodie on her body. "Now, I know you like to take me on adventures when you know I'm going to get in trouble," Steve walked up to his sister-in-law, lifting her up in a hug while she laughed, holding him tightly when he swung her back and forth, "but just how much trouble am I about to get into?"
