"So the common wounds are on the chest and abdomen?" I asked Detective Turner

It has been a couple weeks since this case as been brought to me and I had two more weeks before my boss called the FBI for help again

"Yes, and every victim was found by a river or body of water " I furrowed my eyebrows as Turner spoke

I continued to look over each victim file "Okay." I sighed leaning forward resting my elbows on the table

"Let's start with the victims families again we're missing something" The whole room nodded agreeing "Ask about a common place the victim would go to or their daily routine we need something that's common with all the victims"

All of my co workers stood up leaving the room and being left in the room by myself for atleast five minutes I sighed sitting back into my seat "Stressed?" I looked up seeing my brother I smiled

"Very" He walked in further setting a IHop bag down "Your favorite" he smirked I laughed thanking him

I dug into the bag and began chowing down on my pancakes "So what brought you by?" I asked looking up at him

"I need a favor" King walked over to my side of the table leaning against it "Hmm" I hummed taking a bite of my eggs King looked down at me crossing his arms against his chest

"So 12 on my ass" King started I quickly cut him off "I'm not doing nothing involving my job Kingston" I spoke sternly

"I know sis but the block hot right now cause they trynna find something to arrest my ass for and they snoopin around my businesses, that's not a good look on a black business man"

"King" I simply said glaring at him we had a staring contest Kingston looking at me with most unamused face I've ever seen, I rose an eyebrow at him and he returned the same look I sighed giving in "Fine"

And just instantly became a hypocrite

"Preciate you sis" he kissed my cheek I hummed rolling my eyes

King walked out the room "Alright" I took one last bite before I stood up and continued working

"Hey sis" Sabrina voice came through the phone "Hey how you doin" I asked as I walked to my car

After a long day of work I was going straight to Shawn's we've been seeing each other almost everyday for the past couple of weeks

He took me on more dates and was just spoiling me overall with love and gifts

"Beside your brother getting on my nerves good" We laughed I got into my car immediately locking it and starting it

Sabrina was 25 same age as Kingston she went to school for a year before dropping out because she like the stay at home girlfriend life and King also not wanting her working or stressing over school

I wasn't one to judge at all so if that's how she wanted to live her life and if that's what she felt happy doing then so be it

Sabrina and King met at a club Sabrina was a bottle girl living paycheck to paycheck while trying to go to school

"So I called because me and King are having a little get together this Saturday"

"I wanted you and Rya to come" I smiled as I pulled out of my parking space "Of course girl, we will be there"

"Tell Rya to bring her little boo thang" I laughed nodding "I will"

"Okay sis, I'll see you Friday then."
