"Wass happenin family" I walked into my parents kitchen as it seemed to be that everyone was in there "Dinner is about to be served you staying?" Kalise was asked her son, Kareem nodded taking a seat at the dinner table

Kiya set a placing mat infront of Kareem then went back to the kitchen to help her mother fix the plates "How you been Kiro"

Finally seeing my brother for the first in a while I had to get an update in his life immediately "Chillin just got a new job"

"Oh forreal where at?" I leaned back in my chair keeping my attention on Kiro "Police department" Kiro smirked my eyes widened "Shit no shot"

Kiro nodded "Finished my training my last week officially Officer Carter" Kiro spoke proudly I chuckled shaking my head "Man yall growin up on me dawg"

Kenneth and Kiro laughed as Kareem still sat there in utter shock

"Wassup my niggas" Kyrie came in with Whitney by his side "Kyrie Carter" Kalise spoke in a warning tone Kyrie pulled out his chair sitting "My fault momma"

I smirked shaking my head Kyrie always been the troll of the family Kiya came around the table with two plates placing one in front of me and my dad

"Why them first fool" Kyrie teased Kiya, she mushed his head as she walked past him "Cause they the oldest stupid"

Kyrie and Kiro laughed at Kyrie antics as he continued to tease Kiya

Kenneth looked at Kareem "How you doin son?"

I looked away from my siblings arguing to my father I shrugged "I'm doin"

"You seem even more glum since we last seen you" Kenneth frowned at his son, Kareem hated the way his father could read him so easily but hey he was his child

"You went from smiling at your phone to not even giving it a glance"

Kareem chuckled, Kenneth read him like a book. Kareem shook his head "I dunno it's this girl"

"When is it not a girl" Kenneth chuckled leaning back in his seat giving his son his undivided attention, Kareem smirked looking at his siblings again before looking at his father

"You remember Kari?"

"Briefly" Kenneth nodded "Yeah well that's Kingston sister and were co workers"

"Ohhh that's the co worker you be staying out late with" Kenneth smirked I chuckled nodding "Yeah"

"Well what happened son"

"Well she told me how she felt about me, I left her hangin by not saying anything to her"

"Wrong move son" Kenneth shook his head I sighed "I know"

"But I was shocked honestly speechless I wasn't expecting her to make the first move like that"

Kenneth smirked "I like her already" I smirked shaking my head "anyways next day we went to the movies and I told her how I was feelin back but we can't move forward with our relationship"

Silence came over the two allowing the loud voices of my siblings to catch my attention "Whitney you mind grabbing Kyrie's plate" Kalise set Kiro's plate infront of him

Whitney nodded standing up Kyrie smacked her ass she swatted at his hand making him laugh

I shook my head looking back over to my pops his eyes already on me "You want my honest advice?"
