Today's Lena's and l ours anniversary
I planned for us to have a romantic dinner on the beach. Since Francesca's still recovering, mom decided to come down and give us a break, we were only gonna be away for one night. We needed this time to reconnect. Being back to work has made huge difference, while Lena's at the house. We have a schedule that works for us, l work four days a week
While Lena does virtual learning from home. Francesca has a tutor who comes over and teaches her,
Lena's upstairs getting ready for our date, mom and I are talking while Francesca is her room watching TV
Mom all the important numbers are on the refrigerator. We'll be back tomorrow afternoon Stef says to Sharon, Stephanie you act like l don't have experience with children l raised didn't l how hard can it be taken care of a nine year old she said

Francesca needs help transferring from the bed to the bathroom. Mostly she can do it on her own at times, you need to supervise her. I tell her

I got up from off the sofa and go talk to our daughter, l knock on her door
Come in she States. I enter inside her bedroom, and take a seat on her bed
Baby mommy and me are going out and won't be home until tomorrow
Nanny will be there in case you need anything. She has all the number to the hotel we're be staying, nanny won't let anything happen to you so please don't give her a hard time while we're gone alright Stef says to her daughter. You promise your coming back tomorrow she asks me
Yes I give you my word the blonde replies, do you need anything before we leave for the evening l asked her
No momma l'm fine. So where you taking mommy for your anniversary
Francesca asked, l decided to take mommy to the beach. She always likes it there, we'll have dinner and probably go to dinner afterwards

You guys deserve a night out on the town, l know l'm causing a lot of trouble. Francesca said sadly

You've been working really hard and we know it's not easy. But you think how far came, you'll be making a lot progress these last few months let's take one day at time. Don't push yourself, just keep doing your physical therapy. Mommy and I wish we could trade places with you if we could, as parents we never want to our children hurting. Your getting stronger every day Francesca just think how far you come, not to many people have been in your shoes have made it the other side. Your a lucky little girl, Stef explains. Think about what I said and we see you tomorrow behave for nanny and don't give her a hard. Will be calling to check in
I gave Francesca a kiss her on the head, l exit her room to find Lena coming down the steps in a red dress
That took my breath away. My aren't we speechless tonight Lena said,

Lena puts on her black Shaw. We head out the front door and make out the door, l open the door for her to get in. Lena gets in the car, l got in the driver's side. And started up the engine, the beach is twenty minutes away. Lena messes with the radio station, it doesn't take us long to arrive. I parked the car and we got out, walked down the pier hand in hand.  We made it down to the beach

I pulled Lena's chair for her. We took our seats, their was a bottle of champagne and two plates covered up.
