Lena's: POV
It's been two weeks since Francesca's surgery. Stef's been looking into other job opportunities since turning in her resignation letter after the hospital director begged her to stay Stef stuck to her guns and didn't give in, even when the older woman offered her more money after everything we stuffed as a family Stef has flew down to Los Angeles to see about a position at the LA children's hospital that's due to open up in the spring. By then Francesca will be finished the distance learning program from home, she's been making huge progress with her physically therapy. I can see every day she's regaining her self confidence, the biggest change of all. She was walking with her walker without a assistance the therapist said our little daughter girl needed to establish her independence, she fell a few times and got back up and tried walking again. It literally brought tears to my eyes l wished Stef was here with me to share this major step in Frankie's life, Stef's is coming home tomorrow. She's been gone for over a week
She texts me daily to keep me update on what's going on, l had lunch with my son Brandon a couple of days ago. Living with my father for almost a year, when Brandon told me she doesn't want to come back home. We did give him a choice to decide on what he wanted to do he's almost fourteen, l have to accept his decision l'm losing my baby boy who's a teenager now
I make a priority to spend some one on time with him while Francesca's tutor is at the house. Sometimes we would go to concerts in the park, other times we would just go for a walk down on the pier and ride some rides. This breaks my heart in half, but I don't show Brandon the expression on my face because I don't want my son to feel guilty. Maybe some where down the road he'll come back to us, Francesca has her moments when she still has nightmares about what happened. Her psychiatrist wants to put her on medication
Stef and I have been real clear on not having our children on any type of suppressants. We tried a different approach, l found a herbalist who specializes in all natural remedies for children. I haven't made up my mind quite yet, l'm still doing my homework on homeopathic drugs this lady sells at her store. My job as an English literature professor hasn't been going well cause I think my boss is trying to replace me
Several of my coworkers informed me that she's been holding interviews with different people, she should have come to me as a woman instead of sneaking around behind my back telling l still have place at the university. Even after she said l could work from home, l guess l'll have to look into other job opportunities in Los Angeles
