The last family dinner part 2

Stef 's: POV
Once everybody was done eating dinner
Lena cleared the table and loaded up the dishwasher. Then brought out dessert
I had a chance to talk to my son a bit,
Brandon really didn't say much the only thing he said that he'll miss us. I would have thought he would have more to say
I didn't press the issue any further, when Lena came back into the dining room carrying a pie along with a tub of vanilla ice cream. I got up from the table to give her a hand, Francesca didn't say too much during dinner. I knew she was a little on edge seeing Brandon, Lena begin cutting the pie while l scoop up the ice cream on to the plate and pass it around the table
I wish that Brandon and Francesca would make amends before we leave tomorrow
After serving everyone Lena and l took our seats, Stewart stood up from the table and walked over towards us whispered in Lena's ear asking her if they could go somewhere and talk in private. Lena got up and followed her Stewart out the front door
Lena took a seat, daddy what did you wanna talk to me about Lena asked her Father. I know you guys are leaving in the morning l just wanted to give you a little something to help you out, l know it's been a difficult year for you and your family
I understand it's hard leaving Brandon behind but rest assurance he will be alright
I know how much you want things to go back the way they were before. He needs a strong male influence in his life to keep him on track, l'm not saying you and Stef aren't good parents let's face it he's getting older. Brandon needs someone who can teach him how to be a man, plus l seen the frightened look on Francesca's face when she saw Brandon there's still a lot of tension between them. Stewart hands Lena a white envelope, thanks Daddy we just want the best for both our children l just don't want Brandon to think we're abandoning him
Stef couldn't find any work here after what happened at the hospital concerning our daughter. She was offered a position in Los Angeles, we're only going to be three hours away. It's not like we won't be back to visit
Lena tells Stewart, we all have to make sacrifices for the ones we love so don't feel like you're abandoning Brandon. I talked to him about the move, he understands
His therapist said he's opening up a little more in therapy and realizes his actions have caused consequences Stewart explains. Daddy l'm glad he has you to teach him how to become a man cause Stef and l don't know the first thing about raising a young man, Lena says to

I'm gonna miss you Lena States. Aww sweetheart you'll always be my little girl no matter how old you get Stewart replies, maybe once we get settled you and Brandon can come down for a visit or something Lena told Stewart. Lena wanted to ask her father about his new lady friend but she decided against it, after the conversation was over they heading back in the house to find everybody in the living room talking. Lena didn't see Francesca in sight, Brandon was sitting by himself messing with his phone.
