first Day on the new job

Stef's: POV
Today was my first at the new job
I was up bright and early but didn't have to be at the hospital until 11:30 this morning
I can't believe how fast these last few weeks flew by. We were still getting adjusted to our new surroundings, the change was different from what we were accustomed to. Lena and l weren't sure how Francessa would adapt to the change, but she surprised us by saying she liked it here
It shocked us both on how well she took it so easily. I wished our son was here with all of us, deep down inside  l knew we had to let him go. It didn't stop the ache in my heart, replaying my father in laws words
Brandon is going through puberty and he needs to figure out himself. I'm ready to start my day, Lena must be downstairs cooking breakfast. Cause l hear her talking to somebody. I grab my bag and head down
After going over my new schedule, my hours are from 11 to 7 at night. I work every other weekend, this takes me back to the time I started out as an intern fresh out of medical school. Working twelve hour shifts barely seeing my family at times
Our kids were young at the time, Lena studied for doctrine at the college where she used to work at the time. Good morning my loves isn't it a glorious morning Stef  says to her wife and daughter, morning momma Francessa said. Lena brought over a plate of French toast and placed it on the table, along with the bacon eggs and fresh fruit on the side. Lena took a seat beside me
Then we ate breakfast as a family, babe are you nervous about your first day Lena asks me not really. I know I'm going to have to start from the bottom and work my way up to the top, from the director who was telling me. I'll be working in the children's
Ward, then we originally planned because all the other units were filled up. So l had to take which was available Stef goes on to explain,  momma let me get this straight

So you'll be working on toddlers and kids my age Francessa implies, you got it sweet girl Stef States. I don't think l want to be a doctor when l grow up, l'm leaning towards fashion design or a photographer. Perhaps modeling those are my choices so far Francessa stated, sweetheart you can be anything you wanna be as you put your mind to it. Just make sure it's what you want, mommy and l will support your decision no matter what you decide Stef tells her daughter. I know mama you both are terrific parents, Francessa told us
Once l was finished eating breakfast
Well it's time for me to head on out l don't wanna be late on my first day on the job
Stef replied as she kissed Francessa on the head. Carries her plate over to the sink and empties it in the soapy water, honey l'll walk you out Lena States. Mommy l will load up the dishes in the dish washer since you made breakfast Francessa informs her mommy, thanks baby l appreciate it. Don't forget you have an appointment with the orthodontist at 12:30 this afternoon Lena reminds Francessa. Mommy do l really have to get braces Francessa whines, where  only going for a consultation with Dr. Bennett Lena explained, Stef grabs her lunch bag from off the counter before walking out of the kitchen leaving Francessa to her thoughts. Baby before l forget make sure you take your car to the service station to have your oil change and have the mechanic put on some tires, or will need to look into getting a new vehicle soon. Better yet will go car shopping this Saturday at the dealership, l looked up a few in town. Before you say we can't afford it, we have plenty of money left over from the lawsuit I received  from the hospital Stef tells Lena. As she unlocks the car door
Lena kisses her wife on the lips, before she gets inside. Stef starts up the engine Lena watches her beloved drive off. Pressing the code to open up the gates, Lena headed back in the house to go get showered
