on the road we go

Stef's: POV
We finally get on the road to get to big bear Mountain. The kids are in the back seat, watching a movie on the head rest behind my seat. Lena is sleeping while I drive, we already stopped at the gas station to get gas. Frankie and Brandon got out to use the restroom, l needed my coffee since I'm doing most of the driving. I know once we get to our destination, l will be exhausted, Frankie has been quiet most of the way. I ask Brandon what's wrong with his sister, they are close she talks to him most of the time. I think Francesca's mad at me cause we haven't spent time in a long time
We used to go to basketball games, I'm going to make sure that l spend some quality time with her on this trip. I just finished pumping the gas, the kids ended up getting their smoothies to drink. I get Lena her favorite peppermint tea
Lena doesn't allow junk food in the house, that's our rule
Where a healthy family. Lena makes smoothies every morning before the children leave if they forgot to eat breakfast, everybody's back in the SUV
Lena wakes up while we are on the road. We have four more hours to go, Lena has her hand on my leg, the look she's giving me. We have only made love once, hopefully where got a chance on our vacation if possible.  Lena is one of the most patience people l know, she has always supported me over the years. Our anniversary is coming up soon, I'm not sure what we are going do yet. The last time we want to Paris for two weeks.

Lena's: POV
When I woke up from my nap
Stef had my tea in the cup holder
I wink my eye at her. I'm still a little sleepy, we make small talk nothing major. I'm glad we have to time together as a family to do something fun for once, Frankie and Stef need to talk cause l notice. When I got home they were in a heated disagreement over something. I decided to stay out of it, and let them work it out
I know what the issue is but l chose not to get involved. Brandon knows what's going on with them, it seems like l have to be the peacemaker between Frankie and Stef. Frankly,
It's getting on my nerves. This has been going on for the last two weeks.  I told Stef  she would talk to our daughter to find out what the problem is.
