Chapter 7: Stones and stories

Y/n POV

I couldn't believe my eyes; there it was the stone tablets. It has been a dream of mine to seeing it and of all places it was here, in this very building. This had to be some sort of joke or something because there were rumors that these stones got destroyed a long time ago. Was this the surprise that Atem was so excited to show me?! Because I'm completely shocked and want to run out the door to let the whole world know that these exist! I should be more excited but I was fixed on the person who was on the stone tablet, my mouth had dropped to the floor. Everyone started to talk:

"I don't think she was ready to see the tablets Atem." Joey whispered "She can't make words."

Ashely spoke in agreement, "I agree, just look at her. She can't even keep her mouth closed." She came over to me and helped closed my mouth.

"well, it seems Luna is handling this well" As Shaw was now holding Luna again. Poor cat is being tossed around lol.

"meow"

"I don't think her brain is processing well on what she is seeing on the stones." Said Ashely as she came up to me and closed my mouth.

"(y/n), are you okay?" Atem asked.

I couldn't say word. I just stood there and gaze upon the stone tablet, analyzing it with my eyes. My eyes were focused on the person that looked a lot like me in that carving and then spotting a jewel around their neck. "It can't be.." I grabbed my necklace that was family heirloom. This was puzzling situation because this could not be the same one on that Stone tablet, it can't be that old. I furthered scanned the rest of the tablet and there I spotted a familiar cat, Luna. Now this is just getting way too freaky especially the most recognizable male I know standing next to the person that supposed to be me. He had spike tri colored hair, a pyramid pendant around his neck, eyes with warmth and determination, with a smile that can make a girl weak on her knees. It was no other than the king of games himself. "Atem??..."I whispered

"Yes (y/n)?" Atem came closer my and grabbed my hand.

I can't believe this huge artifact that had Atem, and Luna and myself. I turned my head, looked straight in Atem's eyes and asked..."Where did you get this tablet? What business trip did you go on? Where did you go, Atem?"

"I went to Egypt for a business trip awhile back and the one of the locals wanted to show me a stone artifact they found while digging around the Valley of the Kings."  he smiled. "they said it was something that needed to be brought to my attention."

"Egypt?!" I shout. "What happened?"

"Yes and it was the craziest experience." He said.

I just looked at him with a blank face. "Atem come on, how can you keep something like this from me? This is the first thing you should have showed me when I landed here. Do you not see this?!"

"This was craved over 5 millennials ago; I didn't want this to be so overwhelming on you when you got here." He said.

"And you want me to believe that this thing craved in gravel is me and you?" I pointed at the stones, "Atem?"

"Don't forget Luna" said Shaw

"meow" 😸

I stared at them with the eyes of don't make me hurt you.

They Gulp

He waves both his hands up and down to calm me down, "(Y/n) there's more I want you to know." I wasn't having it. "I know your mind is going crazy and I know you want answers but you must let me explain myself."
