Chapter 15: Atem's Dream

My Pharaoh, sorry for the intrusion but have you decided who you would want to rule as queen?" A man in a all covered white tunic asked.

A man with a rod and blue tunic said, "How silly Muhad, the future queen isn't going to rule anything but be the pleasure of the pharaoh."

"Seto the kingdom needs a worthy queen!" Muhad scolded.

"Oh please, spare me the lecture. We all know the the future queen won't have any rights to say anything on how our king should rule. Plus, she's only good for baring an heir to the throne."

"Enough! Stop your bricking, you two. I understand both your sides but seto you are only partially right. So is Muhad. However, choosing a bride is for me to pick. Yes she needs to bare me a son, but I also want her to be not just a worthy queen but a protector to the people and my family."  The pharaoh looks out the window.

"Cousin, you can't possibly be changing your mind about her ruling?"

"Why can't she rule, seto? Are you scared she might change the ways of our kingdom?"

"Stop! I've chosen who I wanted and I believe she will make a worthy queen and a great mother."

"Who?"

*Dream scene change*

"Hello, Pharaoh Atem. Are you ready for your training?"

"Good morning princess (y/n). I am ready for my training, but before we start. I'd like to ask you something?"

"Oh? It doesn't involve talking about the celebration is it?"

"No, but a more personal matter."

"Are you in trouble Atem?"

"No, (y/n). I'm not in trouble." He walks closer to the princess. Gazing into her eyes that causes her to blush. "I wanted to ask if you like to accompany me to the celebration of the pharaohs and my birthday?"

"Your asking me?"

"Yes, I'm more comfortable around you. Besides, it would keep other women not to throw themselves at me. Which is scary."

"Haha, the big bad pharaoh scared of women? Now that is funny."

"Please say you'll accompany me"

"Of course, my pharaoh. I'd love to go to the celebration with you."

"Yes!! I mean....very well. Let's go train."

*Dream scene change*

"Your majesties, I have news from one of our soldiers."

"Go ahead Muhad, you may speak."

"There has been an attack in the lower part of the kingdom. It is said that the person who was leading it was a man who had threaten you and our queen at the celebration of your birthday."

"Who is this man!?" The pharaoh stands in demand.

The queen gently grabs the pharaohs arm. "My love please calm down. Let him finish."

"Very well. Go on Muhad."

"As you wish. The man who threaten you has sent a letter. When I given word of the attack."

"Please, Muhad. May i see this letter?"

"Yes my queen."

Muhad hands the letter to the queen. And she reads.
