Recovery

Tanjiro opened his eyes. His eyes are wet from tears that's falling out. He's crying because of his sad dream. It's a dream yet it felt so real to him. He finally wake up from the dream. He is a bit confused at where he's at. Was that...a dream? 

He look around him trying to asses the situation. His body is bandaged with tubes from his arms connected to a bag as fluid is flowing inside his body. He woke up on a bed, a hospital bed. He's inside the Butterfly Mansion. Where am I?

*Krash!*

Kanao dropped a flower vase. Originally she was about to put the flower vase on a desk beside Tanjiro to wish him a happy recovery. Now she's here, standing in the doorway, wasn't expecting this at all. She was shocked to see that Tanjiro had finally awake. She was speechless and stunned at the same time. 

"Are you all right? Since the fight, you've been unconscious for two months." She approached Tanjiro and hold onto his arms. She is concerned for Tanjiro's wellbeing. She's glad that Tanjiro is just fine.

"Oh really?" I...was..?" It is as if he just woken up from a quick nap. He didn't expecting that he's been on the hospital bed for two months since the fight against Gyutaro and Daki.

I'm glad...that you're awake." Tears started to form on her eyes as she smiled. She's really glad and happy that Tanjiro is awake.

Hallway

My name is Goto. I'm a Kakushi in the clean up crew of the Demon Slayer Corps. I'm the guy who brought Tanjiro and the guy who tried to wake him up. A Kakushi could be seen walking through the hallways, he talked to himself.

I have a fateful connection with him. I'm also the one who found him and the others in the entertainment district two months ago. Goto is the one who found Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke and Nezuko all together. All of them are huddle up together with Nezuko in between them. All of them were unconscious. 

They're younger than I am, but they're swordsman who risk their lives fighting demons at night. I truly respect them all! Although I didn't get the boar-guy. Goto truly respect them for fighting on the frontlines. Although he can't understand what's wrong with Inosuke.

And what I'm carrying in my hands is fine castella. To be honest, it's taking all my strength to keep from eating it right now. In his hands, he's carrying a plate of castella. He's trying his best to not fall into temptation and eat all of it.

It's a present for him. Even though he still hasn't regained consciousness. I hear he has a good nose, so if I set it near him maybe he'll wake up. Goto is walking towards Tanjiro's room with a gift.

As he enter the room, he's immediately greeted with shards of broken vase just in front of the door. He sees Kanao that is busy taking care of Tanjiro who he thought was still unconscious. Clean this up! He shouted in his heart.

Seriously, Kanao? She leaves everything undone! She's a weird girl. She doesn't talk at all. It's because they made her a demon slayer at such a young age. Goto could guess who in the world made this mess.

But she outranks me, so I can't say anything. Even though I'm 23. He can't complain since Kanao's rank is higher. The hierarchy sometimes sucks. He then took his time to take care of the broken vase .

"Um, I'm putting the castella here. If it looks like it's bad, you can throw it away or eat it." Goto told Kanao that he's putting the castella on the desk beside Tanjiro.

"Th-Thank you." Tanjiro thanked Goto for brining castella. Goto dropped the plate of castella out of shock.

"He-He's awake?! You should be more excited!!" Goto is shocked by this. After finding out Tanjiro is awake, he shouted at Kanao for being content with the news.
