Tarnished

"Ahhh!" Both Kotetsu and Tanjiro shouted in unison. Not because they were scared, but because they were panicking while in state of surprised as well. All this time, a sword that's been kept for years has been hidden inside the doll.

Is that the secret weapon that Mitsuri talk about?! Tanjiro thought to himself. Both him and Kotetsu hug each other. The only guy who didn't react like them that are on the scene is Zoro. To him, those idiots are just overreacting.

He is only interested at first, because why is the sword was hidden at the first place? At the end, it's not as good as the swords that he got. Especially since he recently got Enma. But still, it must be quite the heirloom to be hidden inside the doll. 

"There's something in there! Kotetsu! What's in there?! What is it?!" Tanjiro exclaimed. Demanding to know what exactly is it. Zoro found this quite amusing. He rarely sees Tanjiro like this.

"I don't know! What can it be?!" Even Kotetsu, who's freaking out about it had never see a blade hidden inside the doll. This is his first time revealing the secret.

"It looks like a katana but it must be over 300 years old! Yeah, this is messed up! What should we do?!" Tanjiro is very excited in this discovery. It's not everyday that you've got to find a sword that's been hidden for 300 years. He didn't know what to do.

"I can't stop freaking out!" Tanjiro looks like he's about to jump straight up to the sun right now.

"Me too!" Kotetsu replied.

"M-maybe it's okay for you to take it! Yeah...you should definitely take it!" Kotetsu suggested Tanjiro to take it. Since he's the one who found it. He's freaking out.

"I can't do that! N-no way! I better not! All the battles it's been through took their toll. It just happened to break while I was training with it." Tanjiro refused to take the sword. Although his heart is screaming to him to take it. While his face is bright red.

"What about you, Ronin-san? Don't you want the sword?" Tanjiro asked Zoro whether he would like the sword instead. Zoro just shakes his head. He already got enough sword with him. The sword didn't worth much in his eyes.

"But Tanjiro, you just happen to be in trouble because you can't get a new sword forged, right? It's all right! As the owner, I say so!" Kotetsu give Tanjiro more reasons as why he should take it. One because he didn't have any sword yet. As the owner of Yoriichi Type Zero, he gave Tanjiro his permission to take it.

"But, But...you....But!" Tanjiro is still reluctant to take it. He keeps on stuttering every single word. Tanjiro try to refuse, but he's too freaked out. Both of them danced around each other as they can't contain their sense of happiness.

"Steel from the Sengoku period is high quality! Take it!" Kotetsu is pushing Tanjiro hard to take the sword. 

"Are you sure it's okay?!" Tanjiro ask whether it's okay for him to wield that sword. His face is still red. Zoro just grin and smiled looking at the two kids with their charade in front of him.

"Wanna try pulling it out?" Kotetsu offered Tanjiro to see the sword firsthand after 300 years. Of course, that was too much of a temptation for him and he immediately fall for it. He immediately jumped.

"Yeah, I wanna see it!!" Tanjiro exclaimed. He cannot contain his excitement any longer. he immediately took the sword. Both of them are really excited for this moment. Tanjiro grab the sword's grip and pull it.

They were met by old, rusty sword. It looks like it's about to break anytime. They expectations were entirely different. Both Kotetsu and Tanjiro lay down on the floor as if they were dead already. They were saddened and depressed by it.

It's Tarnished....

"Bwahahaha! That was really funny! You guys should have check your guy's face instead!" Zoro laughed himself while he wiped his tears away. It was too funny in his perspective. They reaction went from hundred to zero real quick.

"Of course! It's been three centuries since anyone cared for it. Sorry to dash your hopes." Kotetsu apologized to Tanjiro for getting his hopes up. He weren't expecting the blade to be tarnished. He's too excited that he forgot about it.

"It's all right... I don't mind." Tanjiro gets up and faced Kotetsu, with his face overflowing with tears being drained from his eyes alongside a snot going down to his mouth. He's really disappointed.

"I'm sorry. I apologize!" Kotetsu apologized to Tanjiro.

Suddenly, they heard a heavy and loud footstep walking towards them. As the shadow exposed itself, Tanjiro is shocked. It was a man who's shirtless. The man is muscular with six packs and the veins could be seen.

"Waaaaah! Who is that?!" Tanjiro is intimidated by the sudden appearance of the man.

"Haganezuka?!" Kotetsu recognized Haganezuka. But he never expected Haganezuka to changed this much.

"Yes, I am!" Haganezuka posed with his bulging muscles.

"I heard everything. Leave it to me!" Haganezuka stated.

"Leave what to you?!" Tanjiro is shocked. This man appeared from nowhere and then tried to take his sword that both Kotetsu and himself found. 

Haganezuka suddenly appeared, bulging with muscles. He looked stronger than Tanjiro after training. And he also tried to take the sword, so they quarreled with Zoro spectating over them. Both Tanjiro and Kotetsu hold on tightly on the sword, wanting to prevent Haganezuka from taking it.

"Hey! Let go of that! Why are you taking it away?!" Tanjiro can't understand the reason behind Haganezuka's sudden appearance and why he immediately wanted to take the sword.

"Leave it...to me...." Haganezuka said. He refused to say another word.

"No! This is Kotetsu's!" Tanjiro kept on pulling it.

"Leave it to me!" Haganezuka repeated.

"Explain yourself, Haganezuka!" Kotetsu shouted this time.

"Leave it to me!" Haganezuka keeps on repeating the same word over and over again. 

"No! What are you doing?!" They kept on fighting for the sword.

"I said, leave it to me!!" Haganezuka successfully take the sword from Tanjiro and Kotetsu and swings his arms to shake them off. They both fell on the ground.

"Waaah! A grown-up shouldn't act like that!" Tanjiro said to Haganezuka. It's the truth. Haganezuka would always act like a child, despite being 37 years old. No one knows what's inside Haganezuka's mind.

Zoro just watch as they quarrel amongst each other, over the ownership of the sword. Zoro felt disappointed and amused at the same time. These guys....this act are exactly the same as if this is kindergarten. Are this guys children?
