Afternoon
It's afternoon. The sun is directly on top of the sky. Brook decided to visit a friend. He is walking out in the open while some looked at him with horror and confusion. Some instantly run away when they met him. They ran, saying "There's a ghost in broad daylight!!"
Where he's going? He's going straight towards Uzui's house, the newly retired Sound Hashira that started to enjoy his retirement. Most of them didn't know this yet, but they were actually a good friends after the Voyagers and the Hashiras met.
Uzui is a good friends with Rengoku, but he's also close with Brook. Especially since he regarded Brook as one of the flashiest people that existed in the world. Brook just walking while humming "Bink's Sake" on the road.
Everything is going fine. In this afternoon, although the sun is directly on top of the sky it's not too hot. The weather is pretty cloudy, making it pretty humid in the area. Of course, Brook didn't go to Uzui's house without any gifts.
With Sanji's help, he packed a fresh globefish sashimi in a bento box. Which is Uzui's favorite dish that the Sound Hashira won't get bored no matter how many times he eat it. Sanji seems to be reluctant at first to make some meal for the womanizer, but he made it anyway.
Every time Sanji thought of Uzui, he gets pissed without no reason. He gets really jealous. Every time an image of Uzui popped up, the images of Uzui's wives also floated in his head. He's jealous of how lucky the shinobi truly is.
Sanji got an urge to just add some "seasoning" on the sashimi, but his pride as chef supported him to make the dish without adding any seasoning. His jealousy could get him burning everything around him. Such a terrifying monster.
"It's this way right?" Brook take a left turn, before stopping in front of a mansion. The mansion is fairly big. It is as big as Rengoku's family mansion. He wonder if this is truly Uzui's mansion. Is this the right house?
He did not want to trouble the resident if he trespass the property and unintentionally called a monk to force Brook to get away and giving the family trauma. Maybe the resident thought they are cursed. The mansion had a wooden plate, saying "The Flashiest Mansion!"
"Yep, this is probably it." Brook could guess it. There's no one that would actually put that in the house's nameplate unless it's a moron. A Hashira fit the criteria.
Tengen's Mansion
A young woman could be seen is doing the laundry. The woman had a short height and with shoulder-length black hair, short bangs, and blue eyes. She wears a short, black sleeveless dress with a plunging neckline.
She could be seen running around, trying to dry the cloths. She seems to be in a rush, fighting against the time. The woman is Suma, one of Uzui's wives. I need to do this on time! There's a lot cloths that I need to wash after this!
She hanged the clothes on a suspension to dry the cloths. The laundry is piling up. It's been quite hectic since they moved inside the mansion. Ubuyashiki gifted the mansion as a gift for Uzui's good work as a Hashira.
She hanged a wide blanket on the suspension and took another one to be dried. But she didn't expect one thing at all. A skeletal figure emerged from the blanket she just hanged. She froze her body as she dropped the laundry basket.
"Excuse me, but where can I find Tengen-san?" The skeletal figure asked where he could find Suma's husband and former Hashira. She didn't know what to do. Her mind just shuts down, as her instinct guided her.
"G-g-gh-ghost!!!!"She turned her back to the ghost and sprinted as fast as she could from the ghost. She shouted at the top of her lungs.
"Ghost?! Where?!" Brook look to his left and right. There's no ghost. Then he realized what is Suma's talking about. Oh, It's me....
"Gyaaah!!! A Ghost!!!" She screamed as loud as she could, gathering a lot of attention. Her screamed attracted the attention of Makio, another one of Uzui's wives. She seems to be dumbfounded at why Suma is running away.
*Fwoosh!*
*Zoom!*
"Oi! What are you doing? Didn't you say you were going to do laundry? Why are you running way?" Makio greets her. She ask why did Suma run like there's no tomorrow.
Makio is a young woman of average height possessing a voluptuous figure with pale skin and large golden brown eyes framed by eyelashes with prominent ones present on both the upper and lower lashes.
Makio is seen wearing a red, sleeveless striped dress that ends mid-thigh which also reveals her cleavage and secured with a black where she stores her kunai. She has gray-colored bandages wrapped around her calves and up to her thighs.
Suma spotted her, then she immediately pounces on Makio. Suma hugged Makio as hard as she could. Makio is surprised by Suma's actions. She pushes Suma away, but Suma won't stop clinging at her.
"What are you doing?! Get off me!!" Makio pushes Suma away, who is now could be seen crying with snot drooling from her nose.
"Th-th-there's a ghost!! The ghost requested to meet Tengen-sama!!" Smirk appeared on Makio's face. She didn't believe even a single shred of what came out from Suma's mouth. She must be making excuses so she could skip her work! Makio thought.
"Ghost?! There are no such thing as ghosts! You're lying, aren't you? You just wanted to make excuses!" Makio scoffs at Suma's nonsense. Suma got offended by that.
"The ghost is real! I'm not joking! It approached me when I was doing laundry!!" Suma keeps on telling Makio. But Makio didn't bother with her story at all.
"It was right there!" Suma pointed at the last place that she's in contact with the ghost. Makio just shakes her head. A grin appear before her face as she walk with confidence.
"See? I told you! There's no such things as ghost!" Makio carry the laundry basket and gave Suma the laundry basket.
"Of course! Ghost doesn't exist~"
"I'm glad that you understand it, Suma. Now, get back t-
"M-Makio..." Suma pinches her. Wanting to tell her something urgent.
"That wasn't me..." Makio's eyes widened, as if they was about to pop. Sweats started to dripped out of her forehead. The grin on her face disappeared.
"Hello~" A skeletal figure greets her as he pulled his face close to her. Brook gave her the biggest smile he could muster, and the result is a total nightmare.
"Gyaaah!!!" Suma shouted again. Makio is still standing, frozen in place because of shock. Suma grabbed Makio's hand, attempting to run away with Makio too.
*Ktap*
Makio falls to the ground. Her face is frothing with bubbles. She passed out from too much of fear that she can't handle. So much from the girl who don't believe in ghosts. Suma didn't know what to do. The skeletal figure creeps on closer.
"Can I ask you-
*Zoom!*
"You'll never get me alive!!" Suma disappeared without even a single trace.
