Ji Xing was busy until after eight o'clock in the evening before she had time to order takeout for a casual meal. Her colleagues gathered for dinner and had to continue working overtime afterwards.

During the small talk, Dr. Wang asked, "What are guys going to do on the weekend?"

Lin Zhen said, "Sleep. I'm exhausted. I'll sleep for two days and two nights."

"How about you, Ji Xing?"

"She's got a boyfriend, so of course she'll be with him, unlike us, a group of single dogs." Colleague A said, "Ji Xing's boyfriend is so handsome and talented."

"Really?I never knew what your boyfriend looked like." Huang Weiwei said, "Do you have a picture, let me see."

Ji Xing flipped through a photo from her phone to show her.

"College classmates."

The crowd burst into laughter.

Colleague B suddenly asked: "Hey, do you say that there will be a salary increase this year?"

Ji Xing took a sip of soup and said, "The company's policy is to increase inflation by 5%, right?"

"But did you know," the colleague mysteriously lowered his voice, "I went to the HR office that day and accidentally saw the recruitment terms for next year's fresh graduates. The salary of fresh graduates is the same as that of our old employees who have worked for one or two years. As you know, our business is developing rapidly, and the starting salary of fresh graduates is rising year by year."

Everyone was silent and ate their meals.

Colleague C, who has been working for three or four years, was dissatisfied: "The increase in old employees has not been that big."

Ji Xing said: "This is how companies are. They would rather recruit young people at high prices or change jobs than give existing employees a salary increase unless it is a promotion. It is normal."

Everyone sighed.

Huang Weiwei said: "I don't want a salary increase or anything. I'm just hoping for a quick year-end bonus now."

The sales department is based on the commission, while the product R & D department refers to many factors, such as the project, the contract terms discussed with HR at the time of entry, and the suggestions from superiors. Everyone is different and confidential. Therefore, we never discuss the issue of how much the year-end bonus is.

But Huang Weiwei's mouth was quick and she said, "April's salary is enough for me to go home and celebrate the New Year. Ah, hurry up and have a New Year's holiday."

No one said a word, Ji Xing felt a thump in her heart.
