Telling Parents

When jenna told her parents that she was living in the UK permanently, they started to feel concerned about her. She also asked them to come over to see her as she wanted to spend time with them and also needed to talk to them in person.

Jude went to the airport to pick them up as jenna had been quite sick earlier that morning and wasn't able to get them from the airport. Jude stood at arrivals waiting for her parents. When he saw them he walked over to them to greet them. "Hi, Mr and Mrs Ortega, im Jude." He greeted them both with a handshake and smile. "Oh yes, I know all about you, your a great player and jenna has said some amazing things about you." Her father said shaking Judes hand. "Hi, nice to meet you, I must ask though where jenna is?" Her mum said shaking Judes hand. "She was really sick this morning and she wasn't up to drive so im here." He replied. "Oh, that's not to good." Her father replied. "Would you like me to take your bags?" He offered. "If you would like." Jude took jennas mums bags and lead them to the car.

Jude and jennas parents arrived at the apartment and went inside. Jenna was still asleep so her parents went into her room to wake her up. "Jenna, it's time to get up." Jennas mother tapped her shoulder and her eyes went open. When jenna realised who was in the room, she woke up immediately. "Mom, dad." Jenna hugged her parents tightly. "Hey Honey how are you?" Her mum asked. "I'm good, how was your flight?" "It was great, we got a lot of rest" her dad answered. Jenna looked past them and saw Jude standing in the doorway. "Thanks for picking them up." She said waving for him to come over. Jude sat on the bed next to Jenna and put his arm around her. "Could you guys sit for a second, we needed to talk to you about something important and I think It's best if you know now." Jenna said seriously. "Sure, what's going on?" Jennas parents tool a seat at the end of the bed. "You guy I know are not going to like this, but as you know, we started dating the night that we met. And the next day we went, well we were supposed to go and explore Paris for the day but it was horrible weather and we just decided to stay in and watch netflix." Jenna started off by saying. "Jenna, your scaring me what's going on." Her mother said sternly. "So basically, that night we went to dinner and it was amazing, and we told eachother that we found our forever person in eachother. We went to the top of the Eiffel tower and kissed then we went back to my hotel and we, um." Jenna paused and got scared. "You had sex." Her mother again said sternly. Jenna nodded. "So basically" Jenna reached into her bedside table draws and pulled out the sonogram images of the baby. "I'm pregnant." Jenna said handing the photos to her parents. They were speechless. "Jenna, how long have you known?" Her father asked. "Since the day I told you I was spending Christmas with Jude." He replied scared. "So he wasn't alone for Christmas?" Her mother stated. "No, he was, I didn't tell you the whole truth but I didn't fully lie either." She said facing downwards. "I don't, I don't know what to say?" Her mum said looking at the pictures and then jenna and Jude. "You guys have been together for 2 months." Her mother stated. "We know mom" jennas mother sighed. "Are you guys truly in love?" Her mum asked after a few seconds of silence. "Yes, more than anyone else" Jude replied to her mother, jenna looked up at Jude and smiled as he took her hand without looking at her. "And you guys know that having a baby is a massive responsibility." Ger father sId to them. Jude and jenna both nodded. "One of your careers is also going to have to halt." Her mother said to the both of them. "I know and it will be mine." Jenna said to her mother. "Are you sure, I could." Jenna interrupted Jude, "Jude, you can halt an acting career, you can't really do the same thing with football." Jenna said putting her hand on his. "Ok" Jude kissed jenna on the side of her head. "So how many weeks are you now?" Her mum asked. "Around 13 weeks."."If this is what you guys want then we are happy for you and we will support you." Her father took jennas hand and assured her. "Thank you."

Jennas showed he'd parents to the guest room before making her way back to hers. She sat back down on the bed next to Jude and started to cry. "What's wrong?" Jude put his arms around her to comfort her. "I don't know, it's just a lot, I just feel like shit and our lives are going to change so much." She sobbed into his jumper. "I promise to always be here, and I can take games of if you want at the start of the season to help out?I won't be touring with the team for preseason that's for sure." He half laughed. "Thanks but it should be fine, but what about when I need to go back to working, in America or where ever, what's going to happen then?" Jenna asked, she still wanted to continue her career, especially since she sky-rocketed into the lime light. "We can figure it out when we get there, now do you want to go and watch something on netflix?" Jude asked. "Yep."

After a few days, jennas parents left and they had the house to themselves, they still had a few weeks to go until they could tell his parents but they we happy to have told hers.
