First Doctors Appointment Together

It was 9 am, when Jenna and Judes alarm went off. Today, they were going to the doctor to have a check up on the baby as well as an ultra sound. Even though jenna was now 4 months along, it was the 2nd time she had been to the doctors for the baby, and the first time she was going with Jude. Even though she was supposed to be going more regularly, she was to busy with work, moving countries and simply sorting her life out.

Today was Judes day off so they decided that today was the day they would go. "Good morning." Jude rolled over and kissed jenna. "Morning." Jenna replied between kisses. Jude pulled away and shuffled down the bed, he then lifted up Jenna pj top and kissed her bump. "Hey Baby, how are you today?" Jude said putting his hand on the bump. Jenna laughs. "I think that they is ready for us to see them." Jenna replied. Jude kissed her bump and sat back up next to jenna. "Should we find out the gender or keep it a surprise?" Jenna asked him. "I think I would like a surprise but whatever you want." He responded. "Surprise it is then." She smiled. Jude kissed her before getting out of bed. "Jude." Jenna called. "Yeah." Jude turned around. "Can you help me out." She put her arm out. Jude laughed as he pulled her up. "Don't laugh." She frowned. "Sorry." Jude hugged jenna. "What do you want for breakfast?" Jude asked while pulling away from the hug. "Um, mabye just cereal?" She suggested. Jude nodded and walked out to the kitchen to make them both a bowl of cereal. Jenna came out in her robe and sat down next to Jude for breakfast. They finished breakfast and got dressed to go to the appointment. Jude got into tracksuit pants, a shirt, jumper and trainers, and jenna got into sweats and dunks, they then set off to the doctors rooms.

"Are you excited, first time seeing the baby, and first time together?" Jenna asked while they drove. "I'm so excited that I will not be able to sit still in the waiting room." Jude smiled at her then put his eyes back on the road. They arrived at the rooms and made their way in. "Hi can I help you?" The admin lady asked. "Appointment to see Doctor Russo." Jenna responded. "And your name?" She replied. "Jenna." She started to feel nervous. "Last name?" The lady then asked. "Ortega." She replied. "Ok, just pop into the waiting room on your left and Doctor Russo will see you shortly." The lady directed. "Thank you." Jude responded and jenna gave her a soft smile before they made their way to the waiting room. Luckily for them, the room was pretty empty as they had booked at a private practice to avoid fans and pappirazzi. Jude and jenna took a seat on a two seater leather couch as they waited. Jude noticed that Jenna was feeling nervous so he put his hand on her thigh to comfort her. "Are you ok?" He asked her softly. Jenna swallowed and nodded. "What's wrong, I can tell that something is up." Jude asked. "I just have only been to one appointment and what if something bad has happened and we didn't know because we didn't get an appointment earlier." She responded. "I'm sure that everything will be just fine and the doctor will say that the little one is growing perfectly." Jude said as he put his arm around her. She looked up at him and smiled, Jude leaned down and kissed her. They pulled away after a few seconds and waited for the doctor.

After 3 or so minutes the door to an office opened and a young female doctor walked out. "Jenna?" She asked as she looked around the room. Jenna and Jude got up and made their way over to the room. "Hi, I'm Doctor Russo, it's great to meet you both." She said shaking both their hands. "So your jenna, correct?" She looked at jenna. "Yes." She replied. "And you are?" She asked him. "Jude." He responded. "Of course, I should know that, my partner always talks about how you are the best youngster in the world." She smiled. Jude gave her a smile then focused back on Jenna. "So how many appointments have you been to so far?" Doctor Russo asked jenna. "I have only been to the one, that was back in America, I just haven't had time to sort one out." She replied. "Ok, that's all good, now did the doctor give you a due date and do you know how many weeks along you are?" The doctor asked. "I'm due at the end of July, and I'm around 4 months now." She replied. "Ok, all good well if you would like, you can get onto that bed just there and we can do an ultrasound if you would like?" Doctor Russo told her. Jenna nodded and she lied down on the bed. "Um, where can I sit, do I just..." Jude was confused. "If you want you can just take that chair over and sit next to Jenna, I have my seat hear so it doesn't matter." The doctor responded. Jude picked his chair up, moved it next to jenna, sat down and took her hand. They gave eachother a loving look. "Now if you don't mind can you lift your jumper up please." The doctor asked. Jenna nodded and did as told. The doctor applied the gel to her bump and started to spread it around using her probe, after a few seconds she stopped moving it and on the screen appeared the image of their baby. When Jude saw his child on the screen for the first time, he instantly started to tear up. Jenna looked over to Jude and saw the look of love and awe that he had on his face. "Thats our baby." She smiled at him. Jude looked at Jenna with a massive smile. "Thats our baby." He squeezed her hand and kissed it. The doctor moved the probe around to see how the baby was doing. "Well your baby looks healthy, do you guys want to know the gender?" She asked them. "No thanks, we want it to be a surprise." Jenna replied. "Very well, would you like to hear the heartbeat?" The doctor then asked. Both Jude and Jenna nodded. The doctor turned on the sound and a fast and consistent heartbeat was heard. Both Jenna and Jude were brought to tears by the heartbeat. "That might be one of the most amazing sounds that I have ever heard in my life." Jude said as he watched the screen. The doctor finishes the ultrasound and gives them pictures of the baby. "I would like to see you in three weeks if that's possible otherwise enjoy your day. " She said to them. Jude and Jenna thanked the doctor before heading out. They went to the front to pay, one they were done they walked outside. "I don't think I have experienced anything better than that in my life." Jude said to jenna as he hugged her. "I love you so much." She said, "I love you too." Jude kissed her for a while. Eventually they pulled away and went back home.
