_DRAINED_
•••
EVIE'S POV
•••

I hated staying in Burnywood. It was a shit-hole. It wasn't worse than Juvie but it was still terrible. I couldn't imagine what was going on with Liam since he was the one sleeping on the streets.

Carmen, bless her, had all her stuff nicked and was beaten up so I'm glad I was there to protect her. By protect her I mean beating up the kid who did it. During my stretch in Burnywood, I had 10 fights. Both of my hands were bandaged and one of my wrists were sprained but you should see the other kids.

Luckily, we were going home today. To Elm Tree.

Gina greeted us at the door when we arrived. Harry ran at her and hugged her.

"Hello!- Carmen, what's happened to your eye?" Gina asked her.

"I'm fine." Carmen said, simply.

"What happened, babes?" Gina asked her.

"No, she says she's fine." Sapphire said, putting her arm around Carmen and they walked off.

Gina turned to me, "You should see the other guy Gina, had a dislocated jaw once I had gotten hold of him." I told her, quite proudly.

"You shouldn't be proud of yourself," She scolded.

"It's lovely to see you as well, Gina." I grinned, sarcastically. She smiled back and I hugged her.

I then followed Sapphire and Carmen upstairs where they were talking with Tee. "They put us in Burnywood." Sapphire told her. Then Liam came jogging down the stairs.

"Ouch. I thought my week on the run was rough." he said, "Hi." he said to me, I went over and hugged him before returning to Sapphire's side. "What happened to your eye, Carms?" he asked her. I guess he was used to my hands being bandaged by now.

"She had all her stuff nicked." Sapphire told him.

"Don't worry, you can have some if mine. I'll help you choose." Tee told her and Carmen followed her to her room.

"Heard about what happened to Lily?" I asked.

"She's coming out of hospital today." Liam told us, "Two-storey drop. Only a couple of broken bones."

"Yeah, she'll have a couple more when I get hold of her." Sapphire said, with her arms folded and a smug expression.

"Ooh, harsh." Said Liam, his hands shoved in his pockets.

"Well, I'm sorry but it's her fault that we ended up in Burnyhell." Sapphire said and stalked off.

Later, I was playing pool with Carmen and Sapphire. Carmen was still pissed off over what happened at Burnywood and was ready for anybody that crossed her. I liked that, she had toughened up. Tracy came running in, pushing Lily in a wheelchair. "We're back!" she cheered, grinning at us.

We glanced at her and then looked away.

"Oh, nice to see you too." Tracy said, sarcastically, "You three heard the good news?"
