EVIE'S POV

It was absolutely pouring with rain outside, with thunder and occasionally lightning. It was a full on storm. Then the power went out all through the house. I groaned and went downstairs. I went into the kitchen to see what was going on.
"What am I supposed to do without power?" Elektra asked.
Mike came in, "Kid, electricity people can't say when they're coming so I'm gonna nip out and get more batteries and candles. Gina's been delayed, so can you.."
"I'm meant to go to the cinema tonight with Seth!" Tracy complained.
"I promise I won't be long." Mike told her then left.
"Ok, so that's the bad news, but the good news.." She pulled out a pamphlet from a draw. "Emergency takeaway pizza!"
We went to the living room and Liam attempted to turn on the TV.
"This is the worst night of my life." I said, "We're missing the arsenal game."
"Forget basketball. Who wants a game of pool?" Johnny asked.
"Nah, beating you all the time gets boring." Liam said, he was still trying to turn the TV on.
"Frank?"
"No."
"Elektra?" She shook her head.
"Harry?"
"I can't reach." Harry said from where he was laying underneath the pool table.
I was sat on Liam's knee and I took the remote from his hand. I opened it to try check the batteries. Ever since the two fights we had, Liam had become more affectionate.
"I will, Johnny." A weird squeaky voice said, "I'll play a game with you. My name's Eleanor, and I love you, Johnny!" Turns out it was just Tyler with a stupid puppet.
"Weirdo. They should have sent you to that special home. Not Kitty." Johnny told him. Tyler continued to antagonise him with the puppet, causing Johnny to storm off in a huff.
"This is so annoying!" I said, slapping the remote. "Arsenal vs United and the TV isn't working! Oh, and my ice cream is gonna melt." I complained and chucked the remote aside back to Liam. I was kitted up in my arsenal shirt and my Levi jeans. I even bought a tub of ice cream because it gives my team good luck. It sounds stupid but it's what we did when I lived at home.
"Have you realised that nobody actually cares about football?" Elektra asked.
I scrunched my nose up, "Well, I do."
When the doorbell rang we all went into the kitchen. "Right, I'll do the drinks today." Liam said. Gus came in.
"Er, where are the pizzas?" Tracy asked him.
"I don't know." Said Gus. "It wasn't the pizza boy at the door."
"Well, who was it, then?" Tracy asked, confused. It turns out that it was the electrician at the door and Gus turned him away. "Maybe we could catch up with him?" Tracy suggested and we all went running. When we couldn't, we returned to the living room.
