_BIG BROTHER_

EVIE'S POV
•••

"Oi!" Liam called at the DVD man and chucked the two DVDs we'd bought onto his table. "These films are rubbish."

The man laughed, "Yeah, I read the reviews." He said.

"We mean they don't work." I told him.

"It must be your player." The man said.

"Look, we know they're filmed in a cinema. You can see the backs of peoples heads." Liam said.

"That's the director's haircut." The man said.

I fake laughed, "You're a funny bloke." I told him.

"And you're a funny kid."

"All we want is our money back." I told him.

"And now you're hilarious."

"Just like your dodgy DVDs." Liam said.

"Ouch. You're hurting my feelings." The guy said, mockingly. He walked around and put the DVDs to Liam's chest.

"You're scamming, ain't ya?" Liam asked him.

"Like you'd know." The man said. Liam laughed again and then another guy came around.

"Oi! It's a respectable business, mate." He told us, his voice laced with anger. "So push off. Both of youse." Then he turned to the other man. "What'd I say? Don't chat with the punters."

"Look, I know they're pirates. All we want is our 20 quid and we'll go." Liam told him.

The man got closer, up in his face. "I said push...off." and he pushed Liam away. "You as well, go on, go."

"All right." I said and we turned away.

"Listen, you go for the left side, I'll go for the right." Liam whispered to me, "Kick it." He told me when I looked confused. We waited for the men to turn away before running back and kicking each side of the table. All the DVDs fell on the ground and we ran away quickly, the two men chasing after us.

We ran down the slope and I chucked the DVDs in the air. As we ran, I accidentally knocked into a woman. She fell down and the contents of her bag went everywhere.

"I am really sorry!" I told her, Liam and I crouched down and tried to help her collect her stuff up.

"Thieves! Stealing me bag!" She shouted. Another man came up behind us and grabbed the backs of Liam and I's shirts.

"Come here." He said.

"Get off!" Liam shouted.

"Get off me!" I echoed.

"We weren't stealing her bag!" Liam said, struggling in his grip.

"Tell him!" I shouted at the DVD men. "Gowan, tell him!" I yelled but the two men walked away. To our luck, a police man was watching the whole situation unfold.

We were cuffed and placed into the back of the car. "Sorry for getting you into this." Liam muttered to me.

"It's okay." I told him, "We're in this together."
