_A DAY IN THE COUNTRY_
•••
EVIE'S POV
•••

Mike had decided that it would be a good idea to take us all out into the smelly countryside for a day of 'fun team-building activities'. His words not mine. It was so cold and yet all three care workers were excited for the day. I wasn't. I had wrapped up warmly with my leather jacket, hoodie and beanie but I was still feeling the bitter breeze.

Tracy held out a baseball cap which had little slips of paper in it. The paper told us our teams. We all reached our hands inside and grabbed a paper. Mine said, 'Team B'.

"Right. Team A on this side please." Mike said and pointed beside him.

"And Team B on this side, please, yeah?" Gina said. I walked over to stand beside Gina and looked up to find Liam but he was on the other team. It was cool, though, my team was fine. Except I had Elektra, but at least I had Frank. Elektra was the one complaining.

"Ok, listen up, please, guys." Mike said, "Today is all about team-building. Learning how to work together out here in the beautiful countryside."

"Don't lie, Mike, it smells like cow shit." I said, rubbing my nose and y everyone to chuckle.

"Evie, watch your mouth." Mike scolded.

"This is really unfair, we got all the little kids on our team. I mean look at Harry!" Elektra complained.

"Tracy will take care of him." Mike said.

"Yeah, I'll look after him." Tracy agreed and crouched beside Harry.

"But he's gonna slow us down!" Elektra continued to moan.

"Look, we split you into groups only cos it's easier to keep an eye on you. It's not a competition." Mike explained.

"Lucky for you, because if it was, you'd lose." Liam told her.

"No, no, we'd definitely win." I said, introducing friendly competition.

Then everyone started to call each other losers.

TEAM A:
- MAD MIKE
-FUSSY GUS
-JOHNNY ROTTEN
-LUSCIOUS LILY
-LIPPY LIAM
-SLINKY SAPPHIRE

TEAM B:
-G FORCE GINA
-TOBY (OR NOT TO BE)
-RACY TRACY
-JUNGLE HARRY
-EASY EVIE
-KICKING CARMEN
-FRANK N STEIN
-STEAMING TEE
-ELEKTRA CUTE

"QUIET!" Gina suddenly screamed over our arguing, causing everyone to go silent. Then Mike set us up for the first challenge- an obstacle course.

"Are you ready?" He asked us.

"Yeah!" almost everyone chanted back.

Then, Mike snatched Liam's phone out of his hands.

"I was on level nine!" He argued, trying to get it back.

"Sucks for you, O'donavan." I smirked at him.

"Hey, no mobile phones today." Mike said and dropped Liam's phone into his hat. "Just you versus nature. In fact, no gadgets at all. Give them up." Mike said and held his hat out for all of us. I reluctantly dropped my phone in there.
