LIAM'S POV

Jack has been making me do plumbing jobs around town. "You got any problems, Mrs Roberts, just give Liam a call." Jack told the old woman and gave me smile from where I was laying down under the sink, trying to fix the faucet. I fake smiled at him.

"I will." Mrs Roberts said.

Part of me wanted to mess up the job so Mrs Roberts got soaked with water. However, I remember when that happened to Gina, she probably still goes on about it.

This is my life now. Jack slave and all-round skivvy. The music's on hold and I'm just a dogsbody for hire.

"This is all for your benefit, you know." Jack told me. "Just get your head down and keep your eye in the goal, yeah? This time next year you could be your own boss, driving around in your own van. How does that sound?" Even though it didn't sound appealing to he a full time plumber, I nodded anyway.

Jack found out about the music gig that I've been doing. And its safe to say that he was pissed off, so pissed screwed up the business card in front of my face. Yet, I still managed to get Poppy a gig tomorrow. And I started work experience tomorrow.

Have you ever found yourself being caught between a rock and a hard place? Welcome to my world.

EVIE'S POV

Liam was taking me cinema tonight. Neither my dad or my sister wanted me to go because of what happened but I managed to convince them. I got dressed in a red hoodie and ripped jeans. I matched my hoodie with red Jordan 11s. When I left my room, Dad and El were at the door interrogating Liam.

"So where are you taking my sister?" El asked him.

"Do you drink? Do you do drugs?" Dad asked him before he could reply.

"Do you smoke? You gotta job?"

I noticed Liam looked hesitant and slightly nervous so I rushed to his aid. "Alright, pack it in Bad Boys." I said to them and walked out the flat, "Hey." I said and smiled at Liam.

"We want her home by 9 or it won't end well!" El called as we walked down the stairs.

I rolled my eyes, "Ignore them." I said.

LIAM'S POV

"Poppy Ho. Trust me, she's going to be the next big thing." I said, holding the phone to my ear as I walked through the construction site. "Get your reporters down there. Yeah? All right." I hung up and shoved my phone away.

"You made it then?" Dave asked me.

"I told you I wouldn't let you down, didn't I?" I said to him.

"Right. Well, we'll be splitting you into pairs." Dave explained. "You're going to be working with..." Stevie chucked a helmet at me. I looked between Dave and Stevie and then when I realised the partners won't change, I glared at Stevie.
