You Dont Look Like A Rat

Your bed covered in books from the library you sit cross legged reading up on the history of this place.

Cumulus suddenly bursts into the room. "Hey! Whatcha doing?" She looks at the pile of books on the bed, "Ugh Lame!" She says in disgust picking some up some of the books.
You laugh, "yeah, to someone who knows eveything about this church".
She nods in agreement.
"So, we're going to sneak out tomorrow night to the gardens, Terzo steals from Secondos liquor collection sometimes, it will be fun, want to join?".
You laugh "i just got here, I'm not looking to get kicked out".
"Suit yourself" she chides grabbing your Walkman and popping the headphones on pressing play.

She bounces onto her bed, "ooh", she starts swaying to the music. You watch her enjoy Siouxsie and the Banshees for a moment before going back to your book.
Cumulus starts humming and you look up again, she smiles at you and her eyes definitly flash yellow.

By friday youve met all of Cumulus' closest friends and remembered their names, magically. To be perfectly honest you did write them all down at first.
C, Terzo and Aether who need no explination.
Cirrus and Sunshine, who are as bouncy as Cumulus.
Rain, Sodo and Swiss who you don't know much about yet and then Mountain, who towers over eveyone.
The guys of the group constantly having girls fawn of them to the point it's annoying.

After lunch you've been summond to Sister Imperators office, you walk reading the note not looking up you walk straight into someone.
"Ugh watch where you're going loser." She scoffs as you mumble your apologies noticing her arms linked with Terzo who gives you an appologetic look. "Emily...." you hear him say as they walk off.

You get to Sister Imperators office and knock. "Enter" she calls more sternly then you've heard her before. You enter cautiously.
She looks up from a stack of paperwork. "Ah y/n, please take a seat" she gestures to the chairs infront of the desk.
You sit slowly. "Am... I in trouble for something?" You say quietly.
She looks up at you surprise on her face. "What? No child, no I wanted to see how your first week has been".
You breathe out relieved.

"It's been..." you pause trying to find the right word. "Interesting".
"Good" she nods. "Your first mass is coming up, how are you feeling about attending?" She clasps her hands infront of her. "You do not need to partake in the communion or confessionals". She mentions.
"Um I haven't really thought about it" you mumble looking at your hands.
"That's ok" she sighs.
"I've spoken with your teachers and it seems you're on par with your peers as far as most classes go, of course you will start our more... atypical classes next week, but I am pleased with your progress, well done y/n", she smiles at you.

"Um, thank you" you mumble unaccustomed to praise.
"Well, I do hope to see you at mass" she shuffles her paper around. "You are dismissed".
You stand up bowing your head slightly and leave.
Taking a deep breath once you've closed the door as you seemed to have stopped breathing for a moment.

You walk off smiling at yourself. Maybe I can get through this.
You turn the corner and Terzo slams straight into you.
"Merda!" He mutters, "I'm sorry" you mumble. "No, no im sorry, i wasn't watching" he says grinning weakly.

"Were you sent to Imperatwats office?" He asks worry on his face.
"Yes" you laugh.
"She hates me" he sighs rolling his eyes. "Eveything ok?".
"Yeah, she only wanted to see about my first week".
He whistles a sigh of relief dramtically.
"Are you off to her office?" You ask him stepping out of his way.
"No, I was looking for you".
"Why?" You ask narrowing your eyes with suspision.
He looks at the ground, "I wanted to say sorry about Emily, she can be....-"
"A bitch?" You finish for him.
He chuckles and shrugs.
"You sure know how to pick them, ive been called worse" you shrug.
His eyes search your face for an awkward moment.
