This Is A Mad House

You run, you run like your life depends on it. It's dark and you have no idea if Copia or Rain are still out there.
You don't hear anything and everything is a blur.

You make it to the front door you pull and shake and pull, they're locked. You keep shaking them as hard as you can like you're possessed.

"Child! What are you doing?"
Sister Imperator is walking towards you.
"I want to leave, Now!" You scream, still sobbing.
"I can not permit you to leave child, it is past cerfew" she tilts her head at you.
"What is going on?" She asks concerned.

"The orphange said I could go to school or I could leave, I want to leave!!" You scream, snot and tears pouring down your face

"You need to calm down, you can not leave right now, where would you go?" She asks folding her arms.

"THIS IS A MAD HOUSE!" You bellow at Primo who is walking towards you both.
Sister Imperator turns to him and there is a moment of murmuring, she sighs with an understanding tone.

"Come now, you need rest, it's been a big day" she holds her hand out to you.
"I want to leave!!" You turn and start jiggling the doors again.

"You need to go to bed!" Imperator scolds someone behind you.
You ignore her.
"Leave him" Primo says gently.

There are soft hands resting on your arms. You turn, seeing red, and you scream at Copia to get off.
He shakes his head.
You slide down the door uncontrollably sobbing into your hands, feeling like you cant breathe. The air is thick and youre choking, gasping for air through sobs. Your heart is painfully racing and it feels like it's going to explode any minute now.

Copia kneels down on the floor with you. He silently and gently takes one of your hands away from you holding it against his chest. You feel him breathing in and out. You look at him, he nods and you start taking deep breaths with him. It takes a while but once the panic attack subsides you drop your hand and hang your head wiping your tears on your sleeve.

"Come on dear", you look up and Sister Umbra kneeling down, she has one arm under one of yours to help you up. You've cried so much you've made yourself dizzy. Staying still for a moment.
There's a quiet discussion about where you're going to be taken.
Sister Umbra bends towards you. "Do you want to stay with me tonight dear?"
You nod. "Copia" she calls softly not needing to, he was already next to you, he takes your other arm and they walk you to the medical bay.

Sister Umbra piles blankets ontop of you becuase you've started shaking uncontrollably.
You close your eyes as soon as your head hits the pillow so you dont have to talk to anyone as theyve all followed you in.

"-She had to be told" Primo sighs.
"We were still figuring out how, there is still more she needs to know!" Sister Imperator says annoyed.
"There is no more time to figure it out" Primo sighs.
"Tell her what?" Copia asks quietly
"None of your business child" Sister Imperator scolds him "You need to go to bed, Now".
"Sister, it's fine, he can stay with her, she will need someone she trusts close by" Primo tells her.
You hear Copias footsteps and him sitting down next to you.

"She needs rest, we'll figure this out in the morning" Sister Umbra says ushering them out.

You open your eyes at the sound of them leaving, Copia is watching you.
He leans closer stroking your hair. You want to talk to him but you have no energy.
The thought of him and Terzo dying reaches the front of your mind again. You close your eyes so you dont cry more but the tears leak out anyway.
You roll over so he can't see you silently cry yourself to sleep.

Sister Umbra walks over to Copia and hands him a cup of tea.
He takes it and looks at her, "What in Satan's Abyss is going on?".
Sister Umbra looks at the now calm sleeping y/n and sighs.
"Primo told her who her mother is" She says quietly.
Copias eyes widen "How is that something Primo knows?".
Sister Umbra shakes her head "I think I'll leave that for her to tell, Ok? But you'll need to be patient with her".
Copia nods and then grimaces "It's not Imperator is it?"
Umbra laughs "No dear".
"Good I didn't want to have to break up with her" he smiles.
Sister Umbra snorts with laughter covering her mouth so she doesn't wake y/n.
"Wait... how do you know?" He asks raising a brow at her.
She sighs, "All the staff here have been aware dear".

Y/n rolls over in her sleep, stopping Copia in his confused thoughts. He turns to look at her and frowns.
Shes been upset, shes been angry but nothing like this before. Even in her sleep she looks exhausted.
"She will be Ok love" Sister Umbra pats his knee. He nods still frowning.

Umbra has gone to her room attached to the medical bay leaving Copia to his thoughts.
It's early morning by the time his eyes start unfocusing, drooping his head slightly. He feels like he's being watched. He blinks his eyes open and turns his head.
Y/n's blood shot eyes are watching him, barely visible as she's cocooned herself in the blankets.

She unravels the blankets slightly lifting an arm up inviting him in.
He looks back in the direction of Sister Umbras room, he doesn't care if he gets in trouble for this.
Y/n scoots backwards letting Copia squeeze in, he doesn't get under the blankets though, he wraps her up again and just holds her close. She reaches a hand out of the blanket and clings to him.
"I'm not going anywhere, amore" he whispers.

He feels her body relax at his words although her hand is still clamped tightly around his shirt.
She closes her eyes and drifts off again allowing him to close his and finally get some sleep.
