Liliths POV:
I awoke again in someone's arms. I don't know how it happens every time I go clubbing. However, I wasn't too disappointed when I looked up and saw Iris. After all, she's somewhat better than a complete stranger.
She looks peaceful when she sleeps...
"Shit, why am I thinking that. I wasn't thinking that." I thought.
I decided to get out of bed so I could leave. When I got out from under the covers, I noticed I was still covered and in my clothes.
"That's the first." I chuckled before shaking my head and walking out.
I started work at 9:30am and it was currently 8:55am so I decided to just walk into work early.
"Hey Lili!" My co-worker, aka best friend, shouted from behind the counter as I stepped in.
"Hello, Vivian." I responded while walking towards the counters.
"Who did you wake up with this time." She asked with a smirk on her face.
"You know that girl we saw a little while ago, who seems new to Toronto and almost got run over by a car." I asked to see if she'd remember.
After a few seconds of thinking, she seemed to recall the clumsy girl.
"Yeah... what about her? Wait! You're not saying what I think you're saying. Are you?" She asked.
"Yes, I am. Apparently, I texted when we were at the club and asked if she wanted to hook up. So, during the whole snowstorm, I got snowed in and couldn't leave her apartment for two nights. Then, I mysteriously found myself back in her bed this morning." I explain, scratching the back of my neck.
"Two times in the same bed... I know what that means." She said with a huge smirk on her face.
"No, it's not like that. We agreed to be friends." I said, taking a sip of water from the bottle I grabbed out of the mini fridge.
"Yeah, right! Friends." She laughed
"With the benefits." She mumbled.
"What was that?" I asked her since it was barely audible what she said.
"Nothing." She answered
"Viv-" I was cut off by a customer asking her for a coffee.
I had my back turned to the customer and walked away to the back where there was room for me to change in my work clothes, which I left here last night.
When I walked out in my uniform, I was greeted by Vivian again.
"Heyyyy, Lilith." She whispered with a big grin on her face.
"What is with you now?" I questioned, annoyed.
"Oh, I don't know... how about you look over there." She said, pointing to the other corner of the shop discreetly.
My eyes traveled over to the direction she was pointing to. I saw a customer sitting in one of the chairs, with their back turned to us.
"What about them?" I asked, looking over again.
"Ms. Just friend's is there, " She replies
Once I looked back over, I realized what she meant. Just then, Iris got up and turned towards us with her head facing down.
Vivian shoved me in front of the cash register and ran into the back room before I could stop her.
"Hello, I was wondering if I could get 2 more coffees." Iris asked, still looking down, trying to take her card out of her wallet.
"Yes, of course. That will be 6.65$" I answer.
She immediately looked up at me.
"Oh, Lilith. Wait, you work here?" She asked, a little confused.
"Yeah, I work here." I responded.
"So, two coffees? Are you going to see someone?" I asked curiously.
"Um. Yeah, I've been planning to meet up with them for 2 days now." She looked down, smiling a bit, before paying.
"Are they a friend of yours? Or like a partner?" I asked more curious about who this person is.
"It's just... someone." She responded, not really giving me any hints.
"Okay, cool. I'll go make the coffees."
When the coffees were done, I handed them to her, and we quickly said our goodbyes.
I watched her walk away-
" 'Just friend's' my ass." Vivian whispered next to my ear.
"You are jealous she's meeting up with someone, and it's not you." She said, sitting up on the counter.
"No, I'm not. I don't care if she meets up with someone who isn't me, I was just curious as to who it was." I defended.
"How long have I been your best friend, Lilith?" She questions.
Oh god, here we go again
"7 years." I roll my eyes.
"I bet she can make those eyes do more than just roll." She laughed.
I smack her on the arm.
"Shut up." I say to her
"Ow! You didn't have to hit me that hard." She responds while rubbing the side of her arm.
For the rest of the day and night, we joke around as we serve customers. However, my mind would go back to Iris every once in a while when I wasn't distracted.
At 8 p.m me and Vivian locked up the shop after we finished cleaning up. She flipped the keys around her finger as we walked a little down the street to where she parked her car. I sat in the passenger seat as she took her time walking over to the driver's side.

We get out of the car and walk into our apartment building. In Toronto, everything is pricey. Finding an apartment that had 2 bedrooms was difficult, but we finally found one 2 years ago that met our standards.
I unlocked the door for both of us because Vivian was carrying our bags. She rushed in and dropped my bag into my hands, then ran to her room to go to sleep.
"Not even a goodnight?" I teased.
"Goodnight, Lilith!" She eagerly responded.
I cooked food for myself, ate it, did dishes, and then went to my own room. It was around 11 p.m., so I quickly took a shower and changed into a pair of shorts and an oversized sweater before going to bed.
