Lilith's POV:
The handle turned slow, and next was the door. Finally, her whole body stood there. Standing in the doorway, staring back at me with wide eyes. She was in shock, not fully aware of the sign in my hands. Her eyes roamed the pretty pedals, and candles decorated my bed and floor. Some are even scattered on the shelves.
"I... I don't know what to say." She said speechless again.
I seem to often have that effect on her. Which makes me happier than she could ever know.
"This is... this is amazing." She said, still taking in her surroundings.
Before her eyes land on the sign that my hands grip. I see the way her eyes scan each word, each little drawing of hearts and again re-reading it to make sure she reads it right.
"Iris, I'd like to be able to call you my girlfriend instead of a girl I'm dating. Make it more official than now. Be able to shout out loud and let the whole world know how lucky I am to have you be my girl, if you would say yes to my question." I give my little speech.
"Will you be my girlfriend?" I ask.
~~~~~~~~~
"Yes, yes, yes!!" She screamed.
"YAY." Vivian shouted as she swung the door open and came into my room.
"Vivian!" I exclaimed.
"What!? I wanted to know if she would say yes or no." She answered with a shrug.
I rolled my eyes.
"Lili has a girlfriend!" Vivian teased.
"Yeah, me." Iris responded before latching onto me with a big hug.
"Alright, I'm leaving you damn lovebirds." Vivian said before leaving the room.
"3. 2. 1." I counted down.
"What are you counting-" Iris began to say before we could hear Vivian squeal from the hallway, followed by the sound of her bedroom door closing.
I shook my head as we laughed together.
"I'm so happy." Iris whispered beside my ear.
"Because someone is finally your girlfriend?" I questioned.
"No. Not because 'someone', because YOU are now my girlfriend." She responded happily.
There was a moment of silence before she spoke up again.
"Do you have work tomorrow?" She asked while looking back at me.
"I do." I responded, nodding my head.
"Why do you want to know?" I asked, tilting my head to the side slightly.
"We never really got to finish spending the day in bed together." She grinned.
"You know we can't do that. You'd get bored too easily." I responded.
"What a buzz kill. Can't you just imagine it for once?" She questioned with a groan.
"Nope. I'm thinking realistically." I answered back.
We were standing on the side of my bed before a grin started to grow on Iris's face. Her eyes went between me, and whatever was behind us before she began to back up a little.
"Iris, what are you doing?" I asked.
"Replaying my high-school sport." She responded, pausing her movement.
"Which is...?" I questioned.
"Rugby!!" She shouted before running to me and tackling me onto my bed and falling on top of me.
