Iris POV:
New years Eve! I was so excited. For the first year of my life, I'd actually have a New years kiss.
Of course, it's only 1 in the morning, but it still counts.
"Hello everyone! Welcome to tonight's stream. today, we'll be starting a hardcore Minecraft world on java. I think it will be a challenge, so let's see how it goes." I said to the viewers of my stream.
"So, does anyone have a special someone for their New years kiss?" I questioned.
I received a lot of no's but quite the amount of yes's with exclamation marks.
"That's fantastic!" I responded.
"And unfortunate for those that don't." I added.
"My girlfriend broke up with me 7 hours ago." One person commented.
"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that." I answered.
"Me and my boyfriend made it official a couple of days ago, just in time for New years! And I'm so happy!!" Another person commented.
All of the stream was spent talking back and forth with people commenting things about what they were planning on doing for New years Eve, and some overshared... If only I could go back to when I didn't know that information.
Putting those details aside, my stream went well as always. But I had to cut it short when I received a text from Lilith.
"Make sure to sleep tonight, I know you like to stream for hours. Goodnight." She texted while I was playing.
I never got the chance to reply. As my headphones were distracting me with the cave noises. But during a water break, I saw the message and headed back to the surface so that I could save and quit.
I yawned while putting my laptop away. It was almost perfect timing for bed.
Just on queue, I yawned again, and that became the clear indication that I needed to head to bed since it was 4 AM. After laying down, I sent a quick goodnight text and then went to sleep.
--------------------------------------
"Hey, I'm going to be 10 minutes late, I'm really sorry." I said when Lilith answered me.
"Okay, I don't mind waiting. Just don't bail on me, " She said jokingly, or at least I hope.
"I would never. Me and you are going to a restaurant to eat, then we get to go downtown to a club and dance away." I said naming our plans.
"How's Vivian and Ivy doing? Any new updates on the so-called 'friends.'" I questioned.
"Vivian told me today that they've been dating since Christmas. That explains why she's been in our apartment for days at a time." She responded with a chuckle.
"They're dating!? That's amazing!" I commented.
"Yeah, my little best friend is growing up." Lilith answered.
"She's becoming a big girl like you." I joked.
"I was always a big girl!" She argued.
"Tell that to all your flings." I said laughing.
"Nah, they don't matter. It's not like I'm going to see them again. One night stands stay one night stands." Lilith stated.
"Yeah? Then what am I?" I questioned with a grin that she couldn't see.
"I lived with you for two days. That's no longer a one night stand. It's a two night stay. Like a hotel deal, two for the price of one. You and your apartment for the price of your bickering." She answered before bursting out laughing.
