Eyes closed, I stirred in bed, trying to blindly locate Lilith. Except she's not here. I open my eyes to see an already made bed, which motivates me to get up and find her.
Opening Lilith's closet, I find a button-up shirt to wear and quickly put it on before walking out of the room.
"Lilith?" I called out.
"In the kitchen!" I heard her answer.
My jaw drops the moment I walk in. There's so much food. pancakes, sausage, bacon, fruits, chocolate chip waffles, toast, and hash browns. You name it, it's there, set neatly on two trays, while she focuses on the dishes.
"Who's all this for?" I question, leaning on the wall.
"Both of us." She responds.
"Aww, thank you for making breakfast. I could've helped." I answer back, feeling guilty for not helping.
"Well, it was supposed to be breakfast in bed... but you woke up earlier than expected." She replied with a chuckle.
"It still can be." She says almost too quietly, but I get the hint.
"Well, Happy valentines Day." I tell her, giving her a big hug from behind and kisses on her cheek.
"I'll be in your room." I say lastly before walking away.
"See you in a few." She shouts as I've already left the kitchen.
It didn't take long till I was accompanied on her bed. She handed me the tray with chocolate waffles and some maple syrup, while she had the tray with pancakes placed neatly on her lap. We talked throughout breakfast about what we would be doing for valentines, and it showed that Lilith already had a few ideas.
"I have some ideas for later, like wine, movies, making pizza, two other special ones. Relaxing ideas for nighttime. But I'm sure you want to get up and do things during the day." She thought out loud.
"Wanna go skating? Just for a few hours, then maybe a walk through Trillium Park and be back by sunset." I suggested.
"That sounds perfect." She answers, giving me a kiss on my forehead.
I smile from the swarm of butterflies erupting in my stomach.
By then, we were already done with our meals, but I didn't feel like getting up since it was still early for the two of us. Specifically, it was nearing 7 in the morning.
My eyes were beginning to close again for a longer sleep. Then there was movement coming from Lilith's side of the bed before I felt a weight on my chest.
"Is this okay?" I heard her ask.
"More than okay." I calmly answered.
Her head laid in the crook of my neck, giving me little tickling feelings as her breath hit my skin. The rest of her body laid comfortably on mine as we drifted back to sleep.

I could hear Lilith laughing from a mile away the second I tripped over my toe pick and winded myself on the ice.
"You should have seen your face! Terrified!" She said as she skated up alongside me.
"I guess you shouldn't laugh at people who fall, huh?" She questioned, hinting at the number of times she has fallen, and I have laughed.
I sat with my legs spread out in front of me and arms crossed against my chest, looking away from her. She stood in front of me with her arms extended out for me to grab her hands. I, of course, took them. After all, it gave me an excuse to hold her hands.
