Bruce groaned as he was pinned to the now closed door. His lips were recaptured by the Kryptonian once more, the feeling intense and beautifully breathtaking. He could only cling to the man, trying to pull him closer.
Clark moved from Bruce's lips to his neck, kissing and nipping at it gently as to not hurt the human in his arms. Yet, it was becoming difficult to control his strength with the sounds that the stoic man was making. It was music to his ears.
The two separated almost violently, both of them staring at the other with wide eyes. It was like they couldn't believe what they had done. Each trying to come to some conclusion. Then they were pressed against each other, their tongue in each other's mouths as they pulled at their clothes.
They weren't intoxicated nor were they drugged, but damn did it feel like they were with how quick things had escalated. Bruce had only meant to walk Clark to his door and wish the man goodnight, but then he made the bold move of kissing him. It all just blurred from there.
They separated again as Bruce's phone range. They both groaned, the man answering it quickly. He hummed into it, before the annoyed expression on his face dropped into a neutral one. His accelerated heartbeat had calmed, and he made another hum. After that he hung up and sighed.
"Emergency at work." He muttered, giving Clark a sad smile.
'Can't they figure it out without him?' The Kryptonian bitterly thought.
"Okay... I hope it's nothing too serious."
The billionaire said nothing as he pressed a final kiss to the other before leaving. Bruce silently cursed himself all the way down to his car. He couldn't believe he had gotten so carried away like that! That was stupid of him! Yet...
The Cape Crusader lightly pressed his fingers to his lips. He could already tell they were going to be bruised, but he liked that thought. It made it feel like Clark was trying to mark him.
Those thoughts were swiftly shaken from his head as he entered his Boom-Tube to the Watchtower. He was late for his shift, so he really shouldn't be upset at getting called in. Especially seeing as there was a meeting taking place.
"It's nice of you two to finally join us." Diana glared at both Batman and Superman.
The Man of Steel gave the Dark Knight a confused look, originally trying to understand why he was unusually late, but he had gotten distracted. His eyes widened a fraction at seeing the man's bruised lips like he had gotten punched or kissed aggressively.
'No one should kiss him like that.'
"Talk." Even with bruised lips, Batman was still intimidating.
The black-haired Amazon huffed before she began to talk about some Godly artifacts that had been scattered across the world. Apparently, some had resurfaced, and she needs help acquiring them without causing too many problems.
"I see... I can contact Wayne to see if he can acquire the Ring and Vase." The darkly dressed human hummed.
"We should talk with the rest of the people and let them know how dangerous it is to hold onto those items." Superman tried, only for Diana to scoff.
"They are Amazonian property. They should just hand over-"
"Diana."
Hearing her name spoken so aggressively from the usually stoic man made everyone tense and look at him. Even though none of them could see through his cowl, they could tell he was giving them the most displeased look.
"Many people had held onto those artifacts for generations or had gained them through some way. Demanding them to hand them over will be a violation and over-step of not only the League but also yourself. To many national governments, you'll be seen as a threat. You claim that these artifacts are powerful and deadly, demanding people to turn them over will only result in others believing you to be collecting weapons to turn on mankind."
Batman's words were spoken in a calm and icy manner. The room was silent before he began to talk again. This time, Superman couldn't listen to him. He was sure he said somethings, but he was completely focused on the Dark Crusader. He didn't know why till he decided to x-ray his body.
The meeting trailed on uncomfortably long, especially considering after that rather aggressive making out and being slammed against a door, Batman's ribs were beginning to kill him. When the meeting was over, he took a minute longer to sort through things so he could relax from his straightened height.
"Why's your ribs broken?"
Superman watched as his opposite raised an eyebrow at him, if the movement of the mask was any indication. He then heard a sigh as he leaned back in his chair.
"Because you were away, I often fought your villains." He hummed.
That made the Man of Steel pause. His villains were often alien related! They weren't meant to be fought by humans!
"What? You shouldn't-"
A sharp glare stopped him and the man slowly stood. It didn't matter if it was from pain or just to intimidate, it did something to the Kryptonian.
"Weren't you just on a date with Bruce Wayne?" There was a minor pause, too short to allow Superman to say a word. "Don't worry about me. I'm fine. I've dealt with worse." He huffed, leaving the room with a minor flourish of his cape.
Superman frowned and looked after him. As much as what the detective said was true, there was something bothering him. So, using one of his other visions, he looked through Batman's suit. There were subtle handprints on his hips, like someone was trying to pull him closer. Then there were the small bruises forming on neck and just the top of his clavicle. It was strange... How easily all that matched with what he did his Bruce Wayne.
Hey, as a quick heads up, I'm moving to a new place. So sorry about the lack of updates. I'll try better once I'm settled! Hope you enjoyed the chapter!!
