It had been almost two decades ever since Briada caused havoc to their lives. But that didn't mean that just like they having a stable life, everyone else did too.

The humans were still being brutally murdered, she still kept creating hybrids of different species. The taxes had increased so much that most wolves couldn't even pay.

And if you couldn't pay the Queen, you would have to pay with something else. It was either she owned your soul or took your life.

They had learned how to live with her rule for twenty years. No one had the courage to stand against her.

Especially after Grey and his pack fought for another pack and lost almost everything. They'd rather worship the cruel Queen, than lose their lives.

"This is insane", Gabriella whispered.

"Are we actually doing this all over again?", She threw her hands up in the air.

Could their lives get any worse?

For twenty years, they had to constantly live in fear. The curfew was the only thing that protected them from Briada.

But what she was doing was something that they couldn't protect themselves from. There was no way out of this.

No way.

"It has the whole werewolf race scrambling Alpha, it makes no sense", Grey's reporter spoke.

"Briada never made no sense", Cherry cut in.

Her eyes brimmed with tears and it was the most of any emotion she had shown in years. The whole situation was playing with her mind.

It just held so much memories. All the emotions she had bottled in was just bubbling out in waves.

"Maybe, just maybe if we hadn't chickened out, we wouldn't have to live like this", Cherry cried.

She looked at the surprised face of her daughter and everyone else who was just too surprised to see her current state.

But this was the real her, the vulnerable side of her that even her family hardly got to see because she made it her basic principle in life to never show people how vulnerable she could get.

"Calm down Cher", Gabriella's voice shook, her own tears ready to fall.

This was so difficult for all of them. It brought back the memories, the pain, everything.

"I can't Gab, you know how dangerous this is. We can't make a curfew for this", Cherry's voice broke.

They all just stood there, silence taking over as they were all too shocked to even talk. This was something they never thought someone could do.

"What is happening?, Can someone just give us an explanation?", Norma spoke.

The tears in her mother's eyes causing hers to fall freely. She didn't even understand the situation.

None of them knew what everything was about.

"Dear, let's talk about this later. You kids just leave us to handle the situation", Nick sweet talked.

"We are your kids but we're no longer kids. So it's better to keep us informed. I'll be Alpha soon, I deserve to know what this is all about", Jasper insisted.

He just decided that he already had enough. They were wolves and things were meant to happen, especially disasters.

But with their parents always being overprotective, how were they going to be good rulers once their parents left everything in their care.
