"What happened here?, When did the heat start?, When did she meet her mate?, Is it a wizard?", Grey just threw the questions everywhere.

Grey and his family had just gotten to Gaia's house and he was just asking questions. But that was what parents did when they were worried.

"Calm down Grey, maybe you'd care for a glass of water so you can breathe a bit", Gaia suggested.

She could tell from the Alpha's face just how devastated he was. If he was thinking that he was doing a good job at hiding his emotions, then he was very wrong.

Gaia could see the worry on his face and it was alright to be worried. That showed he was human and that he loved his daughter very much.

"I can't calm down Gaia, this is my daughter. Heat is a very serious thing and it's not to be played with", the Alpha growled.

This was his beloved daughter, how could he calm down.

"And she's my great-granddaughter. I love her as much as you do Grey", Gaia said softly.

Grey gasped as he realized the old woman had said that in front of the kids. He just hoped they hadn't picked up on her words.

"Great-granddaughter?, Aren't you taking this role too serious?", Jasper popped an eyebrow up.

Of course he was the one person going to pick up on her words. Gaia just ignored Grey's son as she turned to the man himself.

"It started the day you visited, that very night", Gaia replied to Grey's question.

"What?, Why didn't you summon me right away?", He threw his hands up.

"Because Romania asked me not to-

"You should never listen to Romania. Didn't you both tell her that?", Jasper butted in.

And he was rude as usual.

"Don't interrupt me young man. Sit down and let me talk to your father", Gaia ordered and Jasper reluctantly obeyed.

"And no she hasn't found her mate. But I thought the heat started only on the first full moon after finding your mate", Gaia stated.

She was waiting to be corrected, in case she was wrong with that one.

"What if she found him in the pack and that's why she left?", Norma spoke for the first time ever since they arrived.

Jasper gulped.

"She'd be fine without me telling them about us right?", He thought.

What was wrong with him?, He was the very first one who wanted to tell everybody about their relationship and now that he had the chance he was chickening out.

"That would actually make sense Norma", Jace agreed.

"So what's the situation right now?", Gabriella asked.

She had been exceptionally quiet ever since they arrived. It didn't really come as a surprise to Gaia.

She knew the Luna never liked her kind, so she definitely wouldn't start liking them now.

Almost two decades ago when she helped them with Addie, Gabriella still wasn't convinced that they could be trusted so why now?

"She's been unconscious for three days causing darkness everywhere. We've experienced nightfall for three consecutive days", Gaia confessed.

And she just knew how upset Grey was going to be.

Norma's shoulders slumped, and her eyes welled up with tears as she stared blankly at Grey.
