Chapter 6 - Omega Mate?

"You can't tell me something as lame as this Gwydion", The Queen yelled,anger getting the better of her, just like always.
"How did the hybrids I spent days, weeks , some even months, awakening disappear", Briada spat, at the brink of loosing control to her magic.

"Calm down Bree", Gwydion tried to bring her temper down.
"I'm having everything investigated. I'll get to the bottom of this and if there's a third party, I'll eliminate them", Gwydion promised.

"Twenty hybrids, twenty very powerful hybrids. I must take back what I lost", Briada looked determined. She had lost one of the most powerful species she had ever created.
There were no clues, nothing. She used her wolf senses to sniff the air, for scents of other Pack Wolves but every single scent was that of The Dawn Moon Pack members. She closed her eyes and felt her magic at the tip of her fingers.
"Magic", she opened her eyes. "I can feel the magic that was used around here", She breathed.
"Some of our hybrids had witch genes", Gwydion reasoned.
"My magic is of ancient and dark and dangerous. It creates havoc and it's of pure evil", she smirked.
Gwydion looked at her confused.
"The magic around here is very powerful, but I can't smell evil. The magic hardly caused harm to any one. It makes the magic my hybrids used faint, I can't smell their power", she explained.

Briada upon hearing about the disappearance of her hybrids from The Dawn Moon Pack teleported there with her mate to check everything out for herself. She was furious. She could have anyone's head on her plate for dinner at the moment. Everything wasn't summing up.
"So someone definitely tempered with the Queen's operation. But who?", Gwydion asked the latter.

"I don't know, I leave it to you to find out. This could be very difficult cause the third party didn't leave his scent ", Briada voiced out and Gwydion nodded his head.

"What are you going to do love?, When you are not able to find the culprits. Cause everyone knew better than to cross you in this mission of destroying The Dawn Moon Pack, their rebellion was disrespectful."

"I know this was well planned, but my wrath is something unavoidable. Punishment awaits every single Pack. They thought a Pack of Rotten hybrids was the worst the bloody Queen could do", she snickered.
"Well, I was going to bless them with a hybrid Alpha. They didn't want it, now I'm cursing them, they should just wait and see", she held her gown in her hands as Gwydion moved closer to her. With her eyes closed, she found herself back in her Castle.

Initiating close to a thousand new pack members was quite easy. After all Silver Shadow Pack was big enough. But being an Alpha, Grey had to interact with his new pack members, he stood on his feet and talked for hours. Well he was a werewolf, he wasn't supposed to be tired but here he sat at the breakfast table with his family dozing his ass off.
"Grey, why don't you sleep in today, I believe you need the sleep", Gabriella tells her mate. She looks at him, worried at his sleeping schedule.
"Grey only gets less sleep these days", she thought.

"I'm okay Gabby", Grey assured his mate. "I have to be with Cherry when she's ranking the new Pack members. We want to give them the chance to show their strength. We can't rank them according to how their previous pack ranked them", he added.

"Can't you just ask Luke to do it with Cherry?", Gabriella asked. "After all, those two are your Gamma and Beta. And ranking the new Pack members doesn't necessarily need the Alpha, even Usher could help them", she added.

Grey took a sip of his coffee as he said with a smirk, "I really am the center of your world."

"Really?", Cherry asked. "You had to be cocky only now", Gabriella shook her head as she wiped Romania's lips with the napkin.
Grey laughed.
"You didn't even realize Luke wasn't with us ever since after the rescue mission", Grey smiled.
