"Rome, are you still there?", Norma asked, realizing the dead end from the end of the line.
"Rome?", She called again.
"Huh?", Romania mumbled.
"Don't think much of it, they're mates. We have to let go of our differences with Dreya", Norma adviced.
"Can I talk to you later Norms, I have to go", Romania's voice cracked.
Even Norma could sense her friend's distress.
"Are you okay Norma, please talk t-
Romania ended the call. She just couldn't talk. At least not now or else Norma would realize that something was really wrong.
She just wanted them to think like they were thinking now. They just had to believe she didn't like it because Dreya betrayed her.
Yes she felt very much betrayed by Jasper and Dreya. Two people she did hold very close and dear to her heart.
It hurt so much. So very much. She dropped her phone on her bed as she sat down. Legs crossed, and her head buried deep in her hands.
Nothing had ever hurt her like the way their betrayal did. He gave someone her spot, her right, infront of everybody.
And to top it off, he made love to Dreya, she was so sure of it. He inflicted pain on her, something a mate was incapable of.
"You caused this to yourself Romania", something within her said in her head.
She refused to believe she caused this. She was just scared, very scared. You didn't just accept a bond that the whole world would go against.
"Aarh-", she pulled her hair as she screamed.
Life was just so unfair to her. She left but it still wasn't enough. Now more than ever she wished she had someone to talk to.
It was only mid-day and yet her day was already ruined. She had grandmother Gaia but she couldn't even tell her about her troubles.
Elphaba was a good company. The woman had helped her through a lot during her stay but to share something as deep as this with her, was something she just couldn't do.
She decided to just stay in her room. She didn't even have it in her to go to the shelter. With this mood, she didn't want the kids to feel sad.
She fetched the old book she had borrowed from Gaia. At least, it would help her pass the boredom.
She had taken a liking to the book recently, getting to know a lot about witches. It wasn't like she was getting to know them or something.
But that vision she had, it made her think she needed to know something. She was Queen Supernatural.
Impossible, she thought. There's no title like that, she tried to tell herself lately.
"Come in", she replied to the knock on her door.
Gaia came in with the biggest smile on her face. She had a tray of cookies in her hands as she approached Romania's bed.
"Grandmother, you shouldn't have bothered", Romania tried to smile.
But the smile didn't even reach her eyes and of course Gaia did notice.
"Now what's got you feeling so sad. I don't like the look on your face. My cookies can't even bring back your smile", Gaia joked.
"Oh grandma", Romania took the cookies from Gaia's hands and placed it on her side table.
She threw her arms around Gaia as she hugged the old woman. This was better, she was going to feel the comfort in her arms.
