Light blue skies and a breath of fresh air in the afternoon sun was something anyone would enjoy.

But just not Jasper. He was in love with nature and that was one of the many reasons when he wanted to get away from his father he had enrolled himself in a school in the middle of nowhere someone would say.

But for him, LUPUS ACADEMIAE wasn't in the middle of nowhere. He loved the mountains, the rivers and the forestry that surrounded it.

He could get lost in admiring nature, and he'd forget his worries. He'd forget that his father chose someone's son over him.

Maybe that was the reason he was pressuring Romania to accept their bond. Because he didn't want to feel like for the second time he was not chose.

Now he had a bigger fish to fry. He had a mate to support. Because he could imagine all the mixed emotions Romania might be feeling.

He wanted to be there for her and he prayed that she'd allow him to show her how he cared once she woke up.

"Here you are", Gabriella said in a plaintive voice.

She didn't like seeing her son all alone like that. He looked like he was worrying about something and he had no one to talk to.

She sits right next to him and holds his hands in hers.

"Are you okay son?", The mother caresses her son's face as if to wipe the worry off his face.

He removed his mother's hands from his face and kissed her hands.

"I want to see her mom", he releases a sigh.

"I know you do. That's how it is with the bond. It makes you yearn for each other, just making your mate smile makes your whole day", Gabriella reminisces the start of her bond with Grey and her lips spread wide.

"I also want to help her, help her go through this particular phase of her life, where she can't understand anything or anyone."

Gabriella's cheeks rose up a little bit as their eyes met in a shared understanding. No words had to be spoken and Gabriella could only admire her boy.

He was determined to have his mate in whatever state she was in, even if she was completely broken. He would have her and together, everything would be alright.

"I found out about our bond when I returned from Lupus Academiae mom. Everything changed and it was like she was the breath of fresh air that I didn't know I needed. I came back for her anyway", he told his mother how it had all began.

"I knew what I was feeling was never wrong even if Romania said otherwise", Jasper blinked a couple of times, his lips forming a tight line.

"Oh my son, I actually don't know what to feel", Gabriella turned her head to the other side as her son rested his head on her shoulders.

"Because on one hand is my son. And I'm happy for you but no mother would want her son to be involved with Romania. We had to go through a lot because of her aunt and with her in our lives, our lives will be full of darkness", she added.

"But at the same time I'm also Romania's mother. I raised her like my own, I watched her grow up and I loved every single moment I spent with her. And I would want my daughter to end up with a supportive and loving mate", Gabriella stole a quick glance at her son.

She did see his lips twitch and it stirred up the joy in a mother's heart. She feared for their lives but if this was all it took to see her son smile, she'd give him her support every other day.

"In the game of love, risks are to be taken, and nothing is fair", Jasper sits up straight and turns to his mother.

The mother pulls her son in for a bear hug. Moments like these she couldn't resist shedding a few tears.
