Chapter 5 - Pack Mates

"Is Grey not even up yet?",

Cherry asked Gabriella as they walked down the hall to the guest wing in the Pack House.

"Not yet", Gabriella replied as she scratched her jaw.

"Hey", Cherry said and took Gabriella's hands in hers.
"He'll wake up any moment from now",she tried to sound assuring.
Gabriella gave a weak smile and trotted away.
She got to the hall and found  some of The Dawn Moon Pack members seated in the hall.

"Gather yourselves the Luna wants to speak to you", Cherry said in her authoritative Beta voice.
Heads turned to her and those in their rooms also started filling in.

"I'm really sorry for what all of you had to go through", Gabriella started. Cherry gave her a weak smile and nodded her head, encouraging her Luna  to continue.

"I just wanted to tell you, you're all safe here,and as soon as the Alpha regains consciousness, we'll usher you into the Pack. And if it's done, the Queen won't ever find you", Gabriella said.

"That is if you'd accept the Alpha as your Alpha", Cherry added with a straight face.

"We already accepted him as our Alpha on the battle field",a blonde guy said as he stood up.
Cherry sniffed the air and looked him straight in the eye. She could tell from his aura that he was a strong wolf, probably a pack warrior. She raised her right eyebrow with  a smug look on her face as if to ask who are you.

"My respects Beta", the young boy said,showing his neck as a form of submission.
"I'm Cole,a pack warrior",he added and Cherry just nodded.

"Well make yourselves at home,see you guys soon", Gabriella bid farewell.
Just then Cherry felt a small hand pulling the small dagger on her ankle boot.
She looked down and her warm brown eyes met a little boy's eyes.
"Go away boy",she told him with a hard glare.
The boy just looked at her without blinking.
Even when Cherry gave him an evil smirk that could make any kid shit on themselves,the boy still didn't look intimidated.
He started to pull the dagger again.
"This kid is annoying", Cherry said to herself.
"Get away ugly hair", Cherry yelled then walked away.
Gabriella gave them an apologizing look and followed Cherry.
She walked down the long halls and it seemed like Cherry had disappeared. She got to the Beta's wing and walked to her friends room. Just when she was about to knock on the door,she saw a black haired girl  approach her. From her aura she could sense that the girl was an Omega.

"Luna", the poor girl greeted avoiding eye contact. "Right , she's an Omega", Gabriella said to herself. The girl showed her superior her neck.
Omegas know their place,they know their kind well enough to know that they don't take disrespect lightly. It was deemed rude to look your superior in the eye when talking. It was taken as a threat.
The poor girl was shaking, even when she wasn't looking the Luna straight in the eye.
She wished she hadn't settled for the stupid pigtails today and wore her jet black hair long. At least it could serve as a curtain and cover her cursed face away from the world.

"Are you okay?", Gabriella couldn't help but ask. Worry etched itself on her forehead as she asked the Omega. Obviously she realized the poor girl was shaking.
The poor girl for the first time looked up to the face of her superior. An emotion unknown to Gabriella showed on the girl's face.
The girl found her self smiling. Someone of such a high rank was actually worried about her. Her own pack weren't even worried when she was sick, their concern was who'd take care of the pack chores.
"I..I... I'm okay L...Luna", she stuttered.

"What's your name?", Gabriella asked in a gentle voice.

"Addie", a short reply she gave.

"You're not from our Pack",the Luna stated.
It wasn't a question so Addie didn't reply just nodded.
