"Really?, High Society?", Gabriella laughed out loud as she caught the book her daughter was reading.

"Mom!", Romania yelled, not too pleased with her mother laughing at her choice of books.

"What!, I'm just surprised that's all", the Luna confessed.

"Why would you even read a book full of politics, I heard most human kids don't even do that, they hate politics", she added with a smirk.

"I hate it too", Romania growled.

"But Dreya says it helps you think deeper when you get into politics, technically, she's telling me I'm dumb", she added, shrugging her shoulders in the process.

"This is new", Gabriella said under her breath as she chopped some vegetables.

But Romania's senses were so good for once  that she caught it.

"Whatever", she rolled her eyes.

"Don't you dare roll your eyes young lady, now help me chop some vegetables", Gabriella laughed.

"Ay ay captain", a not so eager Romania obliged, placing her book on the cabinet.

Gabriella loved this, she hadn't been with her daughter like this, alone with her in ages.

She believed it was her fault though, she grew distant from people each day. Maybe talking to Addie was the best decision she had taken in a while.

"You really like the new girl don't you?, the little miss acrimony", Gabriella smirked knowing what was to come next.

"Mom, she's a good kid, it's because of her that we're even talking, she just had a rough life", Romania jumped in to defend her friend.

"And she has a name, Dreya", she added.

Gabriella looked at her daughter as if she had grown horns.

"What?", Romania threw her hands up.

"You're defending her, you hold her dear, you only do that for the people you have in here", the Luna smiled pointing to Romania's chest.

"I do", she replied.
"Oh mother", Romania stopped washing the vegetables and quickly dried her hands.

She hugged Gabriella from behind, just holding her mother tight.

"She has shown me what it is like to be alone, no family and no one who would love you for you. I've realized I've just been unreasonable and should listen to you and daddy", she sighed.

Gabriella stopped chopping the vegetables. She wiped her hands, then turned to look at her daughter, the daughter she raised.

"You're my greatest happiness Romania, I don't know what I would do without you. If only Addie could see you", tears pulled in Gabriella's eyes as she held her daughter's face in her palm.

"Perhaps I was too hard on you and we both didn't understand each other but I'm here now, let's start over, just you and me", she added kissing Romania's forehead in the process.

"Really mom?", Romania smiled.

Gabriella nodded.

"I love you mom", the once very rebellious girl told her mother, hugging her tight.
