Help someone? What, did his father think of him as a fool?
"You must be mistaken if you think I would do that." Alduin spoke. Akatosh sighed.
"I may be." Akatosh looked at him. "After all, you have a habit of bringing misfortune to those you are near to."
Alduin looked back at his father.
"Send me then." He spoke. He would wreak havoc upon Nirn again. And if Severine was still around, he would tear her to shreds. Then he'd finish reviving his lieutenants and conquer it for himself. Akatosh shouted and he was back to falling in time.

I was ready to go home. I hadn't even texted Serana or Lydia. I wonder if they even knew I was here. There was a knock on the door.
"Come in!" I holler. And speaking of which, it was both of them, Serana with a giant bear and Lydia with balloons.
"Lia!" They both run to me and I hug them. Divines, I needed my friends too."I'm so glad you're okay!" Sara said. "I thought you were in a coma!"
"I think I was. Not sure for how long, through." I spoke, my voice mildly muffled by them. They pull away.
"The important thing is that you're here and safe." Lydia sighed. "Those kids shouldn't have been racing on the freeway out of all places."
"Hey, Ma Delia." Sara hugged my mother.
"Hey, honey. Carter got us some pizza and there's leftovers so please help yourselves." She told her.
"Awesome, thanks." Serana went to look at the pizza. Lydia greeted my mother as well. After grabbing a slice of pizza, Lydia sits on the chair next to my dad.
"So how's the job at the hospital going?" Lydia asked, putting her elbows on her knees.
"Fucking terrible. I never want to go back there again." I take a deep breath.
"What's wrong? You were excited about seeing the babies and stuff." Serana was halfway through a pepperoni and mushroom slice.
"Well, they don't leave me alone, they throw all the bad things at me and they talk a lot of smack for a ward that has three lawsuits on its way." I sighed.
"Three lawsuits, oh Divines, why?" My mother asked.
"They didn't change a girl's C-section bandages in time repeatedly and she got sepsis and died. Second was a nurse dropping a baby and the baby ended up in the NICU with brain damage. And third was a girl who lost her baby and almost died due to HELLP syndrome." I should have taken that as a red flag but I had just started my nursing career then.
Suddenly, I heard a roar in the distance. The hospital's alarms started to go off.
"What's going on, Mom?" Julian asked my mother.
"I don't know." My parents gave each other that tense look they used to do when the kids would occasionally say something was off.
"Please follow the assigned leader of your ward to the evacuation area." a woman said over the intercom.
"I don't know, son."My father responded. "Delia, take the kids. I'll stay with the girls."
My mother kisses my father on the forehead and hugs me.
"Come back in one piece, you hear?" She asked me. I nodded. She grabs the boys and makes a run for it. Thankfully there's nothing attached to me. My father quickly turns as Sara and Lydia help me into sweatpants and a sweatshirt. We ran into the hall, trying to follow the rest of the crowd. We hear the roaring again.
"What is that?" Sara asked, looking up.
"I don't know." Lydia looked afraid, her eyes widened.
The hospital shook. I wonder what floor we're on and how many floors could we survive falling through. We continue down the stairs. I notice people are starting to panic. I think about my brief course in crush injuries in EMT class and the full blown course I had about it in nursing school.
Stay calm for the love of Mara. I think to myself. The panicky people start to move down efficiently, down into the underground level. I feel extremely claustrophobic. The ground shakes again and we hear what sounds like loud shouting in a very not human voice. The top of the building splits in half and I hear screaming. I notice there is a black dragon standing near the edge of the top part of the floor. People look in awe, snapping pictures of the creature on their phones or straight up losing their shit. It looks at me, red eyes glaring at me. Part of me wants to run away and the other part of me is too scared to come.
"Dovahkiin......" It says. My body twitches, like it knows something I don't.
"Alduin." I say, without even thinking.
