When I got out of the shower, I was a bit surprised to find Alduin asleep on the couch, his face halfway sunken into the cushion. He didn't look too comfortable but I'm finding it hard to care for him at the moment. I hear a knock on the door. It's my parents.

"Lia!" My mother hugs me. My father looks at Alduin.

"Is that your boyfriend?" He asks.

"Dad! No!" I feel my entire face turn red. "He's one of Serana's friends." There. That might make sense. Telling them he's the dragon that destroyed the city would not be a good idea.

"He's a tall motherfucker." My dad crosses his arms.

"Dad, he can hear you, you know." Last thing I need is for him to rage out again.

"Anyway, we bought you guys some of Nana Claudia's pasta al forno and some stuff for bruschetta." My dad hands me a plastic bag.

"Thanks." I hugged him. Alduin was muttering something in the dragon tongue, I was guessing before he fell off the couch.

"Fuck." He mutters under his breath. He opens his eyes, his hair getting on his face. I'm jealous. My hair seems forever dry and damaged and his hair is nice looking. Maybe if I was a hateful bastard, my hair would heal. Or maybe I should stop perming my hair.

"You good?" My mom asked him. Alduin got up. He was even taller than my dad, jesus.

"I'm fine." He says. "Thanks for asking."

"I suppose we should introduce ourselves if you're Sera's friend. I'm Cordelina and this is my husband, Carter. We're Lia's parents." My mother extends her hand. Alduin awkwardly shakes their hand.

"I'm Aldin." He must have thought about what I was thinking earlier. "Nice to meet you."

My dad shakes his hand. Alduin walks away.

"Not a man of many words, I'm assuming." My dad says in a light hearted tone. Yeah, not exactly.

"Well, your brothers are about to get out of school and I have to pick them up." My mom hugs me. "See you later."

"See you two later." I smile and hug my parents. They leave and I stare at the leftovers. I then place them on the kitchen table. My leave is about to end tomorrow and I'm not ready to go back to work. If only I didn't have to. I was dreading how they would treat me.

Alduin was feeling too on edge to stay in the same room as Lia and her parents. Was it guilt he was feeling? He ran his hand through his head. He must have hit his head hard. Alduin never had to worry about that before. He only had to worry about what he would hunt, when he would sleep, and when he would have to listen to his priests try to appease him in ceremonies and rituals.

Lia was almost Aemma's twin expect her face was a bit more sculpted and her skin was much warmer than Aemma's. Looking at her was like he was looking at Aemma. He felt a pang in his chest. Aemma had never loved him. He suddenly felt a horrible headache hit him. He almost fell to the ground.

The room became dark and he was alone in a void.

"When I said you looked better as a dragon, I meant it." It was the Dovahkiin again. She was in black clothing. She was twirling a dagger in her hand. She was unmasked. Alduin could see that her eyes were full of rage and on her cheeks were black veins.

"I think you looked better before you teamed up with my nephew." Alduin remarked. "How far you've fallen,Dovahkiin."

"That is no longer my title nor was it my name, Alduin." She spoke his name with such venom to it.

"Then what is it?" Alduin asked her.

"My name was once Severine. The day the Blades killed my family, the girl attached to the name died with them. I am now Qahnaarin." She spoke.

"You're still arrogant, taking a dovah name for yourself." Alduin could feel heat on his chest and belly. He wanted to shout her to shreds.

"But you are not my concern, Alduin. She is." Qahnaarin smiled in a terrifying way.

Lia. She wanted Lia. Alduin's hand crumpled to fists. If Lia was meant to be his, he would be the only one to kill her.

"Are you afraid of her, dovahkiin?" Alduin smirked at her. "You should be." He hoped that she could not read his mind.

"Not really. She'll be easy to get rid of." Qahnaarin smiled. "I suppose I must bid you farewell for now."

"My teeth to your neck, Dovahkiin!" Alduin yelled as she faded.

"As mine to yours, Alduin!" She hollered. She was gone and so was the darkness.
