Lia and her friends had left to go to town to get groceries for them. Or so Katya had told him. Good, he hoped they never came back. Now he could scheme on how to return to his true form. Suddenly, he was blinded by white light. He opened his eyes to see his father in his true form, an older man with dragon features.

"Seems like you are determined to undermine me, Alduin." Akatosh spoke in a disappointed tone.

"She is not my ally, she is my enemy!" Alduin snapped at him. Akatosh gave out an annoyed sigh.

"Lianna is not your enemy, Alduin. She is not the Dragonborn." He spoke. "She is meant for many things."

"Why do you want me to help her? The weakling couldn't take out a mudcrab if she tried." He snapped. "Yet she somehow froze me in this form."

"Lianna did not do that. I did." Akatosh spoke. Alduin felt his hands tremble. He shouted at his father, who did nothing.

"Why?" He yelled. "Why did you turn me into a joor?"

"You clearly were planning on getting your revenge on a woman who has not graced this plane with her presence in centuries." Akatosh sighed. "And of course, dominating the world."

"Where is that Dragonborn then?" Alduin asked. He knew. He must know.

"That is for me to know and you to find out." Alduin wished he could scorch him with his fire. Instead, he had his arms crossed and he was huffing.

"So if Lianna is not the Dragonborn, then what is she?" Alduin asked, staring at him.

"Do you really want to know?" Akatosh raised his brow. For some reason, Alduin's stomach felt like it was in knots.

"What are you planning?" His voice came off a bit more timid than he intended.

"If you're insistent on killing your queen, then I suppose I can't stop you but you will need her."

His what?

The car was full of shopping bags and reusable grocery bags. I was halfway through a mint chocolate shake when we arrived at the house. Katya was outside, halfway through a cigarette and looking exhausted.

"Hey, we got all that stuff you asked for." Bryan closed the door on the driver's side.

"I can't do this anymore. Sorry." Katya sighed, taking another hit of her cigarette.

"What happened?" This is not good.

"Your friend threw a raging fit and destroyed my living room. I had to cast a knockout spell on him to stop him." She sighed. "You can take your part of the food and whatever you got for yourself but I can't do it."

I wanted to punch out Alduin. I really do. Serana must have sensed my feelings when she placed her hand on my shoulder.

"Don't." She says in a gentle voice. I calm down.

"We'll take him with us but make a wish list or call me and I'll replace your furniture." I tell Katya. "I'm really sorry."

"It's fine." Katya said, looking relieved. We walk back into the house where the furniture is broken, a coffee table shattered and paintings on the floor. This was going to be at least a paycheck worth of money. Alduin is laying on the floor, wearing a faded gray shirt and black sweatpants.

It takes all my willpower to not kick his head. Bryan and I lift him up and half drag/half carry him. I have half a mind to throw him off the cliff but I don't. Alduin mumbles something and his eyes open.

"You are the last person I want to see right now." He snaps at me.

"Is it over the perfume thing?" I ask him. He says nothing, instead turning away from me.

"Look, we're going back to our apartment. Please don't wreck that." I say in an almost begging tone. This seems to bring joy to the bastard as he smirks at me.

"The weakling is begging?" Alduin raised a dark brow. "That's a new one."

Swallow your pride, Lia. I think to myself. We all get in the car and I volunteer to sit in the back seat as Alduin sits in the copilot seat. I wish I could shout him into Oblivion. Stupid fricking idiot. I was going to be broke and probably homeless because of him. I wish I had died in that wreck now.

I'll be stuck eating ramen noodles and spam with my luck. My blood pressure got to be through the roof right now and that isn't going to help.

"Hey, Lia, could you pass me the orange soda back there?" Bryan asked. I passed the bottle to him. Alduin huffed, saying nothing.

"I feel really bad about that." I sighed.

"About existing?" Alduin asked, in a bitter tone.

"What is wrong with you?" I snap.
