The Last Soulmate

"Took you long enough." I spoke with dripping sarcasm. Miraak looked unimpressed. Severine had a spell charging in her hands. Bryan had a battleaxe out and ready to start cutting people.

"You have no idea how long I've waited for this." Miraak started to chant something in a strange language.

"What the hell is he doing?" Bryan asked, covering his ears.

"Keep your ears covered! This isn't good!" Severine shouted at him. The ground was shaking. Bryan nodded. Suddenly the people started a frenzied attack towards us. I used a ward bubble to cover us as the frenzied people were foaming at the mouth, trying to get to us.

"What the hell?" Bryan looked around.

"All the dragons here, shout Unrelenting Force all together, okay? One...two..." Odahviing started.

"FUS RO DAH!" We all shouted, making the frenzied people fly into buildings, cars, the water or sand. Miraak then shouted something and the Seekers appeared.

"Kill them all!" Miraak spoke. "Except for the Aedra woman!"

The Seeker started to shoot flame and electric balls at us. I managed to dodge most until one got me good in my wrist. The skin was blistered and gross looking. I cast a restoration spell on myself and Bryan killed the Seeker. Alduin shouted one apart.

Odahviing turned into a dragon and started to burn the Seekers alive.

"Wooo! Go Odah!" I shout, throwing elemental flare at the Seeker in front of me. Paarthurnax and Alduin shout and straight battle the dragons. Bryan was swinging his axe at the Seekers. Severine had summoned a Flame Atronach and they were ganging up on the Seekers. Some people at the beach had joined us. Some Dunmer and Altmer were casting all kinds of spells at the Seekers. The Argonians and Khajit were just whacking them with whatever they could find- pails, beach chairs, and even pieces of a broken pier. The other humans had either summoned their own Atronachs, took a weapon from Bryan and/or were hiding with the others.

"You idiots, you will bend to my rule or I will kill you here and there." Miraak shouted something. Alduin and Paarthurnax's faces went white. Odahviing stopped mid flight and was convulsing, shaking his head and trying to fight whatever Miraak did to him.

"Shit! Alduin, shout Unrelenting Force!" Severine shouted. Alduin did so and he stopped.

"Did you just try to mind control me?" Odahviing looked at Miraak. "You shouldn't have done that." He shouted Fire Breath at Miraak who had put a Greater Ward up. Severine had her Flame Atronach and a Dead Thralled Seeker attacking him.

Suddenly, Miraak shouted something and the ground shook beneath us. He let out another shout and he started to shake as dark green smoke formed around him. The ground mumbled again and Alduin and I looked up. He was a dark green dragon, about the size of Alduin's dragon form.

"Holy Lord Azura!" A Dunmer chick cried out. "Can dragonborns do that?"

"Shit, I didn't know that!" Alduin responded to her.

"I will not waste anymore time bringing down the towers. But I will leave you with a parting gift." He does another shout that shakes the ground. The ground starts to split into multiple pieces. I barely manage to jump into the spot where Alduin is. Bryan screams and we turn around. He has fallen into the crack.

"Bryan!" I scream, running towards where he was standing. I hear another shout. Bryan falls into what seems like a Dwemer ruin or something before a red spot splatters beneath him.

"No!" I scream, almost falling in. Alduin grabbed me.

"It's too late for him, Lia." He said, looking at me. I noticed the frenzied people are attacking Odahviing. He is shouting Fire Breath and Paarthurnax is trying to run to him. Alduin and I do the same but Miraak shouts at us and we're paralyzed. What the hell? Where is he learning all these shouts?

Suddenly, Odahviing falls to the ground. If I could scream, I would. Severine was paralyzed as well, tears running down her eyes. His body becomes skeletal and his soul goes to Miraak. The ground breaks apart, causing the frenzied people and Odahviing to fall down. The paralysis stops. We hit the ground and Miraak flies away.

"Odahviing...." Alduin was crying. For the first time in my life, I had actually seen him shed tears.

"Zeymah..." Paarthurnax spoke, his face trembling. Severine lets out a wail that sounds like a wounded animal. I could feel tears forming in my eyes. I had lost my last good friend. We met at after school detention in middle school. He had gotten in trouble for stealing from the teacher. He was gone. And so was Odahviing. I felt horrible pangs in my chest as I started to wail too. I was sick of losing people.
